Drag his sleazy a*se backwards thru your work disciplinary system!!
Its called Diginity at Work, everyone should have the right to feel safe and comfortable in their work environment without fear of harrasment, bullying etc.
Maybe it was a flippant remark, but if you make people aware of it now, it wont happen again to some other poor person after you've moved on.

I would leave it for the moment. It may be a one-off remark that he said without thining about it. No excuse, I know, but we all make mistakes.
If he was to do it again though, report him through the correct channels for your job. It'll back your case up if someone else hears as well, if not, it's your word against his, and fair or not, with him in the more senior position, they'll probably listen to him.
Evidence will assist any complaint with much more strength and then your case will have to be given a fair hearing.

Just to put a slightly different spin on this....if he sed it in an offensive way then yes you must take him to task. From your question i assume this Prof is a doctor? Then there is some medical basis for his comment - he could have just put it across better!
In victorian times, doctors would induce an orgasm to treat women either in pain or distress - think of the word hysterical and the word hysterectomy and see how they could be linked.
A bit tenuous i grant you but he could have sed it meaning well but didn't comminoicate it effectivly. If, however, he is a cringey letch, sue his **** off!

If you think he meant it as a joke, I think you should accept it as such. People's sense of humour varies wildly, with differing degrees of what's allowed and what's not. My old boss (female) was as rude as the day is long, but that was her sense of humour and we all got used to it.
If you took it as a sexual advance, I think you should report it, regardless of how long you are there. Though it may be difficult to prove if you were the only two people privvy to his remark, this person may have been reported in the past and it may be investigated.
Do what you think is right.

leave it. its just his sense of humour. if he does something similar again , tell him that you are uncomfortable with it. i think it looks better on you as a person if you approach him and tell him that you are uncomfortable with it rather than going to the authorities. although the comment was uncalled for, he does not knoiw explicitly of your personal problem so i would give him the benefit of the doubt. and who knows? he might be feeling regret at saying what he did and as some1 mentioned making a fuss of just one off-handed comment could derail your future career.

Definitely tell somebody - it's innapropriate (in fact anything that makes you feel uncomfortable could be considered inaporopriate in law), and who knows what else he is saying to other people. To protect yourself and other people you need to say something. Good luck.

This is your choice. If you feel extremely offended you can write to the hospital registar and speak to a solicitor.
If you arent bothered - let it go!

What an asshole. Report his ***. Never mind you aren't going to be there for long. Make a stand for the other ladies in your predicament. What is this world coming to? Do what you know is right. Im not vindictive, or deceitful..but some of these "people" need to pay. What a jerk.

Just blow it off...unless he says something else which leads you to believe he is making some sort of clumsy advance...then you tell him to piss off.
How's that for first question of the day before the first cup of coffee?...lol
