The best way setting in an interview is keep you back straight which shows you alert and active do not cross your leg it is female setting style, keep your hand to gather when listing, keep eye contact both of the time when you listen or give answer,do not overlaping of communication listen and give one or two second pause than answer which sh owes that your are answering after second thought. do not move your hand in confusable way do not keep rest your hand as well.
It also depand for what job position you are applying if it is for show business situation will entirly chang.

If I understand you correctly, crossing your foot, as you stated and thinking that it means that your left shoe rest right on top of your right knee, can somehow show that you are overconfident and not as respectfull. Body language plays really high on the minds of the interviewers, regarless of etiquettes. However if the leg is crossed, where your left knee is resting right on top of the right knee, it does show a more respectfull and confident posture. However, both feet flat on the ground is a good start.
Good luck in your job hunting and keep your soles clean, just in case.

Keep Your Legs Down and Together!
with Palms of Hands Flat on your Legs!
Do not Place your hands Near your face during Interview!
And Never Gesticulate with hands and Arms unless the Specific Job and Interview requires it!
Be Yourself and Hope you get that JOB!!

Being as HR student/professional I dont feel it wrong but I would suggest you sit normal as you are in meeting at your office. in the context of communication, style of your legs convey something to you audiens, cross legs communicate nonverbally a relax mode, so always be professtional and attitude like professionals.

honestly? It makes no difference. If you cross them and make a good, confident impression you'll be fine. If you don't cross them you'll still be fine. But if you aren't confident, look depressed, and generally are not excited about the job then it doesn't matter if you cross your legs, toes, eyes and ears cause they wont hire you!

Well, if you're a guy it probably looks gay but it probably doesn't make difference in getting the job.
