1. Acknowledge a good job done, it may be casually or during a team meeting. Employees love to be recognised.
2. In the same note, have an employee of the month happening in your workgroup. Award the certificate during a team meeting.
3. Give compensations, if the budget permits. It might be a bonus, present during Christmas etc.
4. Give opportunities to well deserved staff to do other jobs/positions (job rotations) this is to improve their skills.
5.. Arrange parties or get together! Might be after work drinks, or a get together with their partners invited etc every 2 or 3 months to catch up with your employees outside the workplace. This is also a good strategy to know your employees more.
6.. Be approachable but at the same time they still should know that you're the boss. It's a bit hard to do this, but employees will not leave an employer who they enjoy to work with.
7. Be a mentor.
I can only think of 7 at this stage. You can think of the rest.
Good luck! I know how hard it is!

- Give them a $25.00 gift certificate once a month for top producer.
- announce the top producer at the board. give them prize...it is not just about the prize, but about you acknowledge them.
- give them half percent raise higher and let everyone knows that.....
I just have 3....where do you manage anyways? I used to be the top producer where I work at. Can I apply?
