I have completed 18 years of Sales experience with Engg Diploma, and now am a Product Head. I wish i would have been in Software, as a SAP consultant for CRM or Sales. Is that possible ?If so what should be done to proceed...

14 years. If they aren't clear about it & won't allow it to be broken down then oh well. 14 yrs it is. Explain the breakdown at the face to face interview. Get your foot in the door. You're not lying about anything. If you don't get the job then okay but if you put 1 year experience they're never going to look at you twice. You do in fact have more experience than that & to be looked over would just be wrong. 14 years. You're not applying just for an IT job. If you were then of course it would be 1 year. It's a combined total of your knowledge in all areas they are looking for expertise in. Best of luck :-)

Sure it's possible.. with your past experience, you can look for a role of Functional Consultant or Senior Analyst.. You can also look at Siebel, SalesForce etc. which are used widely by sales... every company has need of improving sales productivity , better lead management and training.. your experience will be good in building solutions for such clients..
