Before I went on vacation I was told my scedule would change when I got back but would not affect my hours or pay. I went on vacation and came bk, worked one day and asked them when my scedule would change...my superviser said next week. came in to work the next day and found out they changed my scedule while on vacation and sent me home saying that day was now my day off and it was switch around and taken care off. I asked them several times to make sure. Then I get my check and find that they screwed me out of those 8 hrs. So my check was 8 hrs short. When I went to talk to my sup she said it was my fault, not want ting to take them blame she said I took too much vacation...I tried to explain to her the situation. I went above her and they said it was her fault and they are not responsable for that. I am sick of her not doing her job so I get shorted. She should of taken care of this scedule thing. Three times my checks have been shorted and among other carless things. What can I do?

I am scared to go to anyone else at work about this and scared to go to someone if my checks shorted again...I dont want to lose my job. Why does she have to make people live in fear like this? This is so cruel and not fair. Not to mention when I did go above her the lady I spoke to acted as if I was nothing and got a deffensive attitude that added even more fear. I can not believe this...its so unreal how people can be so heartless. I feel I have no choice right now other than to put up with it.

If your organization has a Human Resource Department talk to them about your pay and supervisor. Don't worry about jeopardizing your job, you have a right to question your pay and schedule.

As for your supervisor, didn't s/he authorize your vacation? If so, s/he knew or should have known the number of days of vacation that you were taking, and if she did not challenge them at that time, s/he has no grounds now to object and penalize you.

As a last resort, contact the Wage and Salary Division of the US Department of Labor (see listing in phone book, or Google), and make a complaint.

What is it about working for and with incompetant people that you enjoy? It may be time for a new job where you can at least feel some security that your schedule and pay will be consistant. I am not saying to march in and quit but start looking around. In the meanwhile, go as high to the top as you can to get an answer that you can live with. This is your income that you are talking about. You should get what you are entitled to but be prepared for answers you may not like to the questions that you ask. For example, they could end up terminating you or demoting you or giving you a pay decrease. I think it's time to find a new situation where you don't have the problems or fears.

try being good to her n start looking for another oppurtunity.

While being good to her u wl c that she would reciprocate the same and u might hv a chance to cover up ur losses, at the same time its not a good idea to work in such an environment coz u can never grow professionally as u wd always b preoccupied with wats nxt.

I hv tried this and it worked for me, all the best.

Normally we have to face such situations at our work. We should take all about of jobs and resposiblities at workplace. Its happened only due to your attitude towards work. I would suggest you to be good in future and avoid such things that cause such happenings. At present you may compromise and try be better than your past. Take care.
