Your nick itself suggests that you have a very high opinion about your appearance !
As the Chairperson of a firm which employs over 200 persons, and who regularly interviews hundreds of 'fresher' aspirants each year, I can frankly say that no professional recruiter will bother about a chap who is vain about his 'looks' - unless you happen to choose modelling for a profession...
...Dress modestly and neatly - in formal clothes that you will be comfortable in, and to which you are already used to.
What you need to really 'wear' is a bright and confident smile - as you listen coolly and quietly to every question that is asked. Begin your reply only when the asker has finished speaking, and be crisp and coherent in your answers.
A sound knowledge of the products or services of the firm you are applying to, and a clear idea of what your future job will involve, will make you rank much higher - than merely acting like a ramp model, with no idea about the job you're applying for.
Remember that most recruiters feel that it is 'an empty vessel that will make more noise'.
Best of Luck, in your life and career.

I think you shouldn't accept a universal answer to your question because every company is different.
I suggest you get to know the companies in which you intend to work and check if they have a dress code and know what it is. This way you will at least look the part and how well you fit in is an important factor. You might consider overdressing slightly to show that you made an effort and you consider the job important enough to do so, but don't get carried away you don't want to overdress on your (potential) superiors!
You should also be as comfortable as possible. Some interviews can be gruelling so you don't need the extra stress of tight, ill fitting clothes. And don't forget that a lot of people sweat quite a lot when under pressure, so go for cotton to keep you cool.

Well, its a good question. Its very good to clear all the fears about the coming things. Being as HR professional/student I would suggest you to check the company's dress code/policy and try to wear accordingly. If you remained failed to reach upto dress code/policy then always dress up yourself like professionals i. e. suite with tie and it is better to look than in simple or casual dress. Good luck.

A suit would be nice. Even if the place that you are applying for is casual, if you wear a suit to the interview, you will look professional.

Definitely wear a suit. Whatever job you're applying for, wear the suit. (always the jacket too) Once you get the job, you can figure out the type of everyday attire. Always be one-up.
Good luck.

Determine what the person interviewing you will be wearing. If you don't know that, then determine what they wear at work.
Wear one level of clothing higher.
Example: If they wear khakis/nice shirt ....you wear a suit.
Default if you can't figure it out = nice suit. conservative colors.

If you feel hot in a jacket, just wear a dress shirt.
Or wear light colored suits.

You don't really need a jacket, but you can do a dress shirt and slacks....no jeans. You can always throw on a tie to up it another level.

Either one is fine just make sure you present yourself right. The key is to keep them so interested in your conversation that they dont even have time to take thought about your clothes....Good Luck
