You've been working hard with the company for years. You decide to take another position with another company. When you tell your current employer that you've decided to leave, they offer you all you've been looking for and more. Do you take the new job, or do you keep your old one and hope all the promises actually happen? Why?

I work in a natural foods store, so of course, I sometimes end up talking with customers about their health issues. Not too long ago, a customer was telling me that he didn't eat red meat, but that his cholesterol was high. When I asked him why his cholesterol was so high since he didn't eat red meat, he laughed and told me that it was from performing o**l sex. The customer was a 70-year-old man, so not only was his remark inappropriate, it was disgusting! I then told him that he was nasty and then walked away.

For example, as a "seasoned" graphic designer, I have developed wisdom from my years of design experience. I have also acquired knowledge in using newer tools with which to work (computer vs. drawing board), but the wisdom seems more valuable to me. Am I missing something?

Most jobs paid between 17 and 24 thousand dollars. When I mentioned this to one of the ladies interviewing me, she said that this is not a job that you do for the money. If you are a librarian, how do you feel about your salary. Do you feel that you are being properly compensated for all the work you do? Is it too much to expect to make enough to live on, especially when the job requires that you have a Master's Degree? I'm really PO'd

I am a very organized person, and enjoy organzing things. I was considering starting a small organizing company (freelance)/Be a professional organizer. Not for my fulltime business yet, but start it parttime and see where it leads. Has anyone done anything similar? What were your outcomes? Positive results/Negative results? OR anyone work for a company that does professional organizing for residences/commercial properties? Fill me in! Thanks for your opinions

I used to work at Wal mart. I currently work at Fry's. That's a food store. I have had a costumer that grabbed my arm and snarled at me, "I don't want that cart. It has no bottom." And his wife laughed at me.

Another is that I walked up to a costumer asking if she would like me to help her unload her groceries. She gets off by yelling in my face, "i called for you but you ignored me so i had to do it all by myself so get out of my face you stupid sh**!"

Would that be unethical? I can see how it *might* be unethical to hire or not hire based on IQ, but in terms of promotions and reorg, I don't see how finding out about an employee's IQ could be construed as 'bad' ..Thanks
