I have been working for someone for 1 year in the last 3 months he has not paid me.

When I was first interviewed he told me that he would draft up a contract but there were a number of delays and then he said that he wouldn't give me a contract. I was finding it hard to find alturnative work, so I decided to work for him anyway. The job market is still poor and I can not find any other work. What he tends to do is to say that he will pay me and once I do the work he gives me some excuse as to why he can't. I am now destitute and I am likely to loose my home. What do I do?

I have a dear friend whom I am trying to help. He is 47 years old, lives in Baltimore, smart and good looking guy. Married with young daughter (and a mortgage...). Currently unemployed and almost broke. He always been a "loser" (his words) and although he was a good student and almost finished a degree in the university he never seemed to find his direction to a good and successful career. Any of you good people have a good and specific advice of the best way to act to turn around my friend's life and career(?)Something like short proffesional course etc' ("I hate my life" he says all the time and I can't blame him). Bless you all good people out there!
I would love ideas from similiar cases who "made a comeback" or anyone else.

I have a Burger King interview tomorrow. I'm looking for some "tips and tricks" or whatever from someone who has worked there or at least been through the interview process. What sort of questions do they ask and all that.

What types of jobs are available to people with an economics degree? I originally selected business as my major with a concentration in accounting, but it is just really, really boring. I chose accounting because I figured that I would be able to get a job in it after graduation, but there is no way I could do that for the rest of my life. One of my current courses is macroeconomics, and so far that course seems really interesting. Anyone have any advice as far as whats available after graduation with an economics degree? Thanks.

Although its a good job, I make great money for my age, and its not that hard; I feel like I need something more. My company is having growing pains I have been here for one year in October it is a nice place to work stable, decent benifets. I am a graphic designer or I like to think of myself as an artist who does design for a living. One year ago today I was just out of college looking for a job now I feel stuck in the daily grind of work. same thing day in and day out. How does the rest of the world deal with this?

Hello,
I went to an interview and I was hired by the company. The HR manager got my fingerprint on the first day of the job. I'm wondering if anyone out there has this experience. Is it necessary?

I had an interview over a week ago and was told I would be asked back for the next round. I have not heard anything more. Would you follow up or just wait? I don't want to mess up my chances.

I am in training for a job and I have to learn the materials on the computer and pass the relevant tests because I can really start working. The training has lasted 5-7 weeks and I have passed all the tests so far except that I still have a few more to go and am not able to complete all the courses by a certain date that they have as a deadline. The supervisor said that if I just have a few left, then she can work with me. But, if she thinks I am going to take a lot more time like another 1-2 weeks to finish the courses, then she would end the training and let me go after I have been in the training for 5-6 weeks and have passed all the tests!! Do you think that's right, fair or justified??

Also the supervisor never told us about the deadline earlier and that we have to meet the deadline until we were half way into the training.
