Although its a good job, I make great money for my age, and its not that hard; I feel like I need something more. My company is having growing pains I have been here for one year in October it is a nice place to work stable, decent benifets. I am a graphic designer or I like to think of myself as an artist who does design for a living. One year ago today I was just out of college looking for a job now I feel stuck in the daily grind of work. same thing day in and day out. How does the rest of the world deal with this?

Okay i felt the same way. I was working for a family business. the work was easy. I too had graduated from college and finding a job was so hard, especially here in l.a.. So I began working for my family. the job was in real estate and pretty easy. There were some hard things as with any job but mindless I will say. Then one day after hearing a sermon at Church I decided to send out massive applications to my dream job ( also my degree job) teaching. I just applied all around the city. Now I am a teacher and its much harder and makes me think. I have to stay on top of my game because I work in middle school. But although its hard.. ITS GREAT!!! I love every thing about it. I hate getting up early but it is well worth it when I see the kids. So if you have something you are really passionate about and it may seem out of reach .. go for it!!

"If you follow your passion you will never work a day in your life"

Firstly sit down with a pad of paper and write down ALL the things you are madly / keenly passionate about - do not restrict yourself here just let it go and keep writing until you have them all.

Next look at the list and see how many of the items on the list are close or exactly similair to what you are currently doing and I bet the answer from your question is very few, if any.

We only live once so why waste it doing something you hate - spending more time at work than you do at home why not spend 8 hours a day doing something you love? That way when you wake up in the morning you can't wait to get out of bed because you really enjoy what you do plus I bet you will do a better job!

Most people do not seem realise they can make their passions into their jobs as well and therefore have a blast every day!

It takes some discipline to write the list but once you have there is your target to go for!

Good Luck!

most people push through that feeling and stay on a job for more than a year. Are you in the field you wanted to go into? If not, try to obtain a better job and then you can quit your current job. No matter what job you get, it's bound to have moments of boredom. But you're all grown up now and out of college so welcome to the big wide world!

If you want something different, then start looking in the newspapers for a job that catches your eye, and go and apply. Wait until you get your desired job, then quit your other job. Cause right now with the money your making you dont want to lose that! Especially with economy!

Talk to your boss. Let your boss know that you feel that you are ready to take on more or learn a different aspect of the company. If your boss complies, this will give you additional experience, a better asset to your company, and will give you an edge over some of your co-workers.

Well I have the same situation and I wanted to resign but I cant cuz i have a good pay and easy working environment. What u have to do is to apply for jobs on-line and see :

What do they require so you can improve ?
Where you stand so you can learn more to acquire more

This will increase your level of satisfaction toward your current job.

keep it up !

it seems that you're not satisfied with your job?... NO, don't think that way, as far as you're concerned, you have to think that your job right now is your "bread and butter", i mean, come to think of it, you're just focusing yourself with your job... try to do something else after your work, going to the gym, playing badminton, or just go out with your friends once in a while. soon, you'll not regret with your work... have a break with yourself... give it a time to ease your agony... now a days, it's hard to find a stable job... and a great money making at your age...
