I am applying for a job through the company's website and it says to just copy and paste the cover letter in a certain section. I don't know who to make the letter out to? In many examples of cover letters, I've seen actual: "Dear Mrs. Johnson" etc. but I don't know a specific person that's going to be seeing this. What should I do?

I work in Customer service phones. it seems like everyday more and more of my coworkers are either getting fired or quitting because they found a better paying job. I have also peeked into the job market but found no one willing to hire me. And I have also considered going back to school and being on unemployment. But i enjoy my work! My question is : Should I stay and just wait to see if they will terminate me or am I just being paranoid?

...in the Classifieds, for a job that I am qualified for, and the person answering the phone told me he had just placed the ad for feelers, to see what kind of response he would get, but that he really had no openings at this time. To place an ad in the paper for a job you have no opening for, just to see who will reply, is WAY far beyond my comprehension. What do you think?

Have you ever been in an interview where they ask those horrible questions like: "What are you strengths/weaknesses" & "Tell me something about yourself" without asking you specific questions.. where you are just put on the spot? I hate that! I think some interviewers might want to know how you are at work, with co-workers or maybe just what you do outside of work. What's the best way to handle it? What do you answer? I start clamming up when asked about strengths.. I can say what kind of work I do,etc. but I don't do well with that question and how do you make something positve out of your negatives?

I want to be the one to put the bodies in the freezer and take the blood out.
The other one is to find out why a person died, like when they die out of the blue.

I called my health department so i can sched. an appt for my mother. The receptionist was being so rude. Although not many words were exchanged it almost sounded like she was frustrated.

This dept is for lesser fortunant. Do I have the right to go yell at her or in other words make a complaint. These people have to put up with major problems all day all they're life and when they go get checked they have to put up with people like her.

I almost want to say I do have the right.. but because not many words were said the only proof I have that she was being rude was my gut feeling and ofcourse her tone.

If receptionist are like that at work.. could they get fired??

I temp for Verizon, and I'm already one year into a two-year contract. It would be wonderful to become a permanent employee for Verizon, and I'm wondering if there's a way to "sell" myself so that they'll hire me. I plan to stay here until I finish some sort of schooling, so they wouldn't have to worry about me turning around and quitting on them! School will take at least a year and I probably won't start until January, anyway. Any suggestions??

I really want to start a career in IT, but have no formal qualifications in this field. As I don't want to go to Uni full time, I was wondering if there were any companies who have good training schemes, where you can earn whilst you train?

Back in March, they change the account number in which my garnishments were going to, they didn't notify my employer. My employer was sending the money to the wrong account #, therefore arrears were accumulating in the new account and money was going into the old account. Last week, I went to a job interview and everything were great, most likely they are going to run a backgroung check on me, etc. I also learned today that child support agency reported to the credit bureau's that my account is in collection, when actually it is not. Now, I am so pissed that the company might find this erroneous information on me and deny me this job opportunity. I've called customer service and they telling me that there's nothing I can't do about now but to dispute it with the credit bureaus. That's not fair, what about my rights? I am getting screwed because of some freaking morons.
