so i have started working for my friend at a horse barn. i really liked it in the beginning and it gave me something to do over summer break. now i am getting home schooled and she still wants me to come and help her. i help her get the horses ready and some times i get to ride some. i have my own horse and lately by the end of the day i either don't have time to ride him or i am just wayyy too tired to think about riding him.
i don't enjoy riding these horses. i do on the other hand enjoy riding my own.
I just don't kow how to say all that to her in person. some time she takes what i say and takes it personally. im afraid she is going to hate me after that.

Please help me......

He was upset that my answer wasn't to his liking.
He blew up, and he has a history of treating me and my other coworkers poorly...he is the same level as we are.
I reported him to my management, his management and both his and my HR departments.
I have a big meeting with him and HR tommorrow....they asked me what I want to see done to this guy...I think anger management training would be sufficient, but my coworkers asked me to suggest he get let go.......what do you think?

I graduated school for legal assisting a few weeks ago, and moved back to my hometown. I had planned to stay in the city where jobs are plentiful, but the crime drove me away. I haven't seen so much as an ad posted here looking for paralegals or anything related. I've decided now that I'd really like to stay put if possible, so I've thought about going to firms and introducing myself. I'm not that outgoing, but people keep telling me that's the way to do it in small towns. Should I wear a suit? I have two suits that are only for interviews - pretty stiff and formal, and from there, it's mostly khakis (I worked as an intern). I feel like I look better in a dress shirt and khakis than I do in a suit, and it's more comfy, but is it appropriate? I've never done this. Would a black skirt be better? I don't own dress pants that I like - I need to buy a good pair, but I need the job first. I plan to intro myself and say what I'm looking for - could lead to an interview, but not sure.

I just received my BA in English and would like to work for a newspaper in some way shape or form. But every ad I see for newspaper work they want writing clips or newspaper writing samples, but I don't have any samples of work besides the papers I have written for my classes. I write well, I just don't have experience writing for a paper. How do I go about getting a job @ a paper? Thanks.

You're in the fridge, get it?

The other day I put a urine sample cup in the fridge at work. It was full of apple juice with some yellow food coloring (very nice effect). Anywho, the HR VP hit the roof, along with any number of people in the building. An e-mail went out asking for the person responsible to come forward, (which I did not do nor do I have any intention of doing) so HR could resolve the situation. In other words, fire me. After no one came forward they announced that a hazmat team was going to brought in to dispose of the container. I mean, come on! Of course, that never happened. The janitor put on a rubber glove and threw it away.

The name on the sample was fake, but really funny, Penelope Persons (PP). Since this was obviously a joke, do you think that HR went too far, or was I doing something completely out of line?

I'm 17, will be 18 in less than two months, and I'm unemployed. When I turn 18, I intend on leaving my parent's house (though I'm still in high school). I've considered just being homeless, because it doesn't bother me, but I would like to graduate from school, and being homeless may make it more difficult to get stuff done. So I want a small apartment (there are some one bedroom apartments in my town for $99/month). But I need income, and I don't think it would be fair to ask my parents for help. I've applied many places, but I don't really know what else I should do. Can anyone help me?

I currently live in the usa. I have dual citizenship with Britain. I was wondering though, if anyone knew...what jobs or careers are in high demand in Britain? I am currently in college, and I am considering moving over there in the future. I lived over there a year as an au pair, and loved it.
