About 14 - 16 is what I can think of for Georgia. It depends on where you live.

You can hire yourself out for yard work or babysitting at whatever age the people will pay you, but unless you make more than $500 a year (this figure is a few years old) doing this sort of thing, the IRS does not consider it a job with reportable income.
If you are talking about getting a job where you earn reportable wages then the answer will vary state to state and whether you are working on or off the farm.
See http://www.dol.gov/esa/programs/whd/state/nonfarm.htm and http://www.dol.gov/esa/programs/whd/state/agriemp2.htm

Babysitting you can be 12. I think at a restaurant you have to be 14, but where I worked you had to be 16 to waitress, otherwise you can be a dishwasher or a busboy or girl, I'm not sure about a daycare center-probably 16 or 18, check it out!

16, I believe, for any type of company job. The youngest age to be a babysitter is around 13 or 14, depending on what age the childrens' parents prefer.

In most cases it's 18 years old without restrictions. If you are 16 years old you can work a limited number of hours on school days. Call your local state employment department. You should probably call the business you are wanting to work for .. they may not be willing to hire you if you are a certain age even if you can legally work at that age..

You can work on a farm at a very young age, I think 8 is the legal limit for farmwork. Otherwise, it's gonna vary from state-to-state. You may require working papers from your high school in order to get a job.
