Before advising anyone to change careers, I would ask them to think. (1) How close am I to be able to do as I please w/o having to hold anykind of job? (2) Am I young enough to rise thru the ranks if I do change my career? (3) Which job--the one I have now or the way I am thinking about offers me the most security, change for advancement.(4) If the pros of my now job outweigh the benefits of the new career, can I live and be happy at the standards of the new career (5) if not what can I find to do in my off time that will make up forf the boredom. If you ask yourself these questions and answer them honestly, then you will know what to do.
