I want to apply at either Walgreens or CVS pharmacies but I don't know who pays more. They are both across from each other close to where I live. I'm wondering which one pays more and which one has the most benefits.

I've been thinking of moving from York to central London with the hope of getting a job in a large investment bank. I have some friends who are working in investment banks of which a couple have moved from places like Surrey to be in London. There seems to be a popular theme of stress and long unbearable working hours when working in London, specifically in financial companies. I want to know how much of this is actually true and whether its just caused by bad self management? I feel extremely driven and have always enjoyed being in London and think I could cope, but never actually worked there. Working in York seems too chilled out and quiet but is it worth moving to work in the city for the higher salary? Is working in an investment bank or other financial firms in the city really too stressful to handle?

Hello! I grauated a year ago with a BS in Communications, emphasizing in broadcast journalism. I sort of fell into the major becasue it seemed interesting and I was good at it. However, the pay is very low to start out (~$8.50/hour, no benefits). I would also have to move to start working in a small town to gain experience. I'm concened that it would be tough to survive on that pay while I work my way into a larger market. So, I'm looking into other options. I have taken tons of courses concerning writing, (news editorial as well as typical essay stuff), public speaking, and video-related techniques. I was considering PR or HR, the later of which I don't think I presently qualify for (no experience with PeopleSoft, payroll, etc.). I don't have a portfolio or experience with PR campaigns or duties, so my qualifications in that area may be dubious as well. Any advice?

I worked in retail this summer as a sales associate for a clothing company and my bosses seemed to like me and asked me to come back for xmas. When I went off to school I applied for a postition in the same company they were excited that my file could be transfered. They were supposed to call me and didn't so I went back in and they scheduled an interview. I went for an interview and he was supposed to call me back a few days later to let me know either way if i got the job. they didnt really need any more people but were considering me because i could be easily transfered. It has been a week and they havent called me. They wrote my number on a scrap sheet of paper bc they didnt need another application. Do I call them back?
