Suezette, I know you want to work from home and it is a growing sector of the workforce. I would suggest if you want to work from home, think about starting your own business. It can be web based or a service business such as cleaning.
The web business is much more appealing because once you get it rolling, it can produce passive income. If you are in a service business, you are trading time for dollars. Which is not all bad. But in order to make more, you have to put in more hours.
So in concidering a "business" rather than a "job" would be the better choice. It doesn't happen over night and you really have to work hard at it in the beginning.
Just decide if that is what you want to do, and if it is, do it and don't look back. Make it work for you.

If they don't mention a company name or exactly what you will be doing in the newspaper ad, it is more likely one of the many scams out there. Some legitimate direct sales companies, such as Avon, also place ads in the local paper and online. Before committing to any opportunity you find via the internet, I advise checking bbb.org, ripoffreport.com, and scam.com for any negative references. Best wishes...

Suzette, you should not have to pay for a job or a kit or a resource to get a job. It is reasonable to invest for a business, but a job is another matter.
It IS possible to work from home, companies are as worried about being scammed as job seekers...
1 reference under Telecommuting or Work from Home is the HFCN Career Guide.
1 free resource for people desiring to identify a work from home job, would benefit from the Telecommuting Professionals, LinkedIn Network on Yahoo.

Those are scams most of them...You'd have to go through them all to pick one that wouldn't be...The best thing you could do is search AT home jobs on the Internet.

I think it's a scam, they always want you to pay a start up fee, that's how they make their money.

It depends if you want to work, or if you are more interested in making money.
You can do all that stuff above and work for pennies, or you can start your own business and make money.
Let me know if I can help.
