I have been working for someone for 1 year in the last 3 months he has not paid me.

When I was first interviewed he told me that he would draft up a contract but there were a number of delays and then he said that he wouldn't give me a contract. I was finding it hard to find alturnative work, so I decided to work for him anyway. The job market is still poor and I can not find any other work. What he tends to do is to say that he will pay me and once I do the work he gives me some excuse as to why he can't. I am now destitute and I am likely to loose my home. What do I do?

If in the US and an employee - contact the local Wage and Hour Division of the Labor Department (look in phone book under "US Government").

If in the US and self-employed - take to small claims court, usually at the County Courthouse.

Outside of the US, I an not qualified to offer advice.

In any case, find another job.

You really need a brain. If someoone has NOT paid you for the last three months, you DON'T continue working form the, No, you have no recourse. And who cares that you can find no other work? The job you have is not paying you, so it's like you have no work NOW, because you are not getting paid for the job you do. Get it?
