What types of jobs are available to people with an economics degree? I originally selected business as my major with a concentration in accounting, but it is just really, really boring. I chose accounting because I figured that I would be able to get a job in it after graduation, but there is no way I could do that for the rest of my life. One of my current courses is macroeconomics, and so far that course seems really interesting. Anyone have any advice as far as whats available after graduation with an economics degree? Thanks.

Do a Business degree with a minor in Economics. Business jobs are aplenty.. in any field, because it's so broad. A lot of the classes are interesting, but the jobs can vary widely. You could end up in many areas, including accounting, marketing, financial services, trade, entrepreneurship, the list goes on & on... With Economics, you could get a job in trade, research, or even politics. Your degree isn't going to determine your job, but it will give you some direction. I'd recommend both.

Economics is a subject that studies everything that has happened and is happening in the world which is related to growth and harmony. Business degree on the other hand relates to only a specific area of business and nothing more. As far as jobs are concerned economic students by virtue of their minds can get placed in any area they excel but at the same time if they do not posess any goal then they will be simply drifting without any regular job.
