How much does a senior associate accounting auditor make annually?

Thanks. I don't work in the accounting field. A friend of mine is a senior associate, so I'm just wondering how much she makes. I thought a CPA title would make a lot of $ - that's what she has.

Salary varies depending on the firm and the location. There is a big difference between working for KPMG in New York and working for a one-CPA firm in Iowa, for example.

I used to work for a large, but not huge, firm in Chicago. I believe 22 old kids right out of college made $50K or so. Senior staff (roughly two to five years on the job, usually with a CPA but not absolutely required) made $60K or more. Managers and senior managers made $70K to $100K.

These numbers are rough estimates and may be outdated. I worked for a CPA firm from 2000 to 2005 when salaries were skyrocketing.

Please keep in mind this is a sixty hour per week job and overnight travel might be required.
