I'm a Home Economics teacher at my local high school. I am male. Most of the people I know, friends and family alike think I'm weird. And they call me a sissy. They tell me that my job should be left to a woman. But I really love my job. I love to cook and sew. And to teach others what I know. So what do you think? Am I weird or a sissy like they say?
I mean I have other interests too. I like to listen to music. I like to rock climb and go for hikes and camp out watch good movies. I just happen to have a job that they think is sissy

I was just wondering if there is some kinda of form that ex-employers put into their reference towards new employers.
I have just been offered a new job, and they have told me they will be writting for references from previous employers. I have never had many problems with any employer, however I am currently off work sick due to a knee injury, I am almost recovered however. Will they place this in the reference?, could it possibly affect my offer of employment.

I had the opportunity to join a small company in the beginning. Now that company has grown to be a small franchise with 20 different stores. In the meantime I completed my BS degree in Management and an MBA in global business all from an online school. I speak Italian Spanish and English. I have lived in Europe for the last 5 years. I serve as VP of Operations, but I am only 25 years old. I am curious if I can ask for and possibly obtain six or seven figure salaries based on my knowledge, track record and experience. I am young so that is my only downfall. It can be hard to compete with 50 year old people. What are my chances of success in the American Market? I am an American Citizen. Within large corporations? Will they actually hire me? Should I look for a head hunter? I dont know what to do now, but I am considering a change, I am motivated by money.

If two friends are up for the same job promotion (due to previous person retiring, no bidding) will they remain friends afterwards? Has anyone encountered this at work? Is it possible to work in a competitive environment with someone you consider a friend? Would you say the slightest negative thing about them to get the promotion?
