Most Unions have a "Union Hall". You need to go to the particular union hall that is the one you want to join and fill out an application form. One usually joins as an apprentice, then moves up from there. Sometimes if you get a job you have no choice you are forced to join the union. An example of this is most hospital jobs and quite a few Supermarket jobs are unionized. You will automatically be in the union if you accept one of these jobs and you will have to pay union dues.
