Practice. It's hard to let go of responsibilities, especially when many of us got to our managerial positions by showing that we were willing to take on more responsibilities than our coworkers. Try to put yourself in positions where you would act as a team leader, and think about how you can use the skills of your team to get the job done quickly and well. You know that you can complete the job yourself in all probability, but you will never have any time for yourself or a life outside of work if you take on all responsibilities. I try to remember this when I'm tempted to say "just let me do it." You can begin by delegating small tasks. Say you are working on a project, and one component of the project is to look up a list of customer phone numbers. Ask a member of your team to get that info for you, and be sure to set a deadline for completion so that it won't slow you down. You will get the hang of it eventually.
