I work in an insurance agency and about 4 months ago, my boss hired an idiot for an office manager position, who claimed she had all this experince but doesn't. No one here likes her neither does the boss. The problem is that the boss is paying unemployment on some else he fired previously, so he's afraid that if he fires her, that he will have the same problem with her. After weeks of messed up policies and complaints from us, the boss finally sat down with her and demoted her to CSR assuming she will feel offended and quit..Well...Guess what? She's still here!!! One good employee that was here for about 2 years quit because of the IDIOT. The receptionist and I are on a mission to get her to do something that is worthy of being FIRED...
I know this sounds cruel, but no one like her and she is so time consuming!!
HELP, I need suggestions quick!!

10 points to the best possible answer.

There's a new janitor at work, but he looks different than other janitors. He's wearing well well ironed dockers and shirt. H'es got very clean polished shoes. He's got a very well groomed beard and a very good haircut. He has a very good built, not the typical fat or very scranny janitor. I don't know why, but I feel uncomfortable going to the restroom and seeing him scrubbing the toilet or the urinals. Sometimes there's several engineers in the restroom all fat and badly dress, and the janitor is the only one who looks like someone there for business.

What would you think of a janitor that's better dressed and better looking than a lot of people at the office?

I've worked as a teller the last 4 years and I came upon some hard times in my life and have moved back home to live with my parents. As a result, my credit is completely screwed. I wanted to apply as a lab assistant at a local hospital, I don't have any experience for this position. Will a hospital pull a credit report for employment? My credit report says nothing about the way I work and who I really am. After I get a job and get back on my feet I want to start college and work towards getting a degree as a lab technologist so this would be a perfect job for me.

I got hired for this awesome company in mid June. I had made arrangements to take two weeks off in mid-July to visit my sister (non-refundable tickets) in London.

My mom wants us to go Mexico for 10 days in January 07, and then I'd like to go back in the summer 07 to visit my sister again. Would that be too much time off work?

My other option is NOT go to Mexico, but New York instead and only take 2 days off work. Will add more later about how much time would be paid, since I only work 30 hours a week.

Please anyone in HR respond, I HATE people responding with " uhh I dont know" point scavengers will get reported.

I have been with my job since march 2006. It was a receptionist job. Lately i have been doing things that do not fall in this category. I am 17 years old and have a tiny body. I am to lift 60 pound test equipment to clean them off and remove stickers that have been on it since 1990. In order to this i have to use a razor blade to even get the sticker to come off. I have beendoing this for 3 days on over 100 units. They are heavey and i have to move them to get around and get the stickers off. I have cut myself very badly twice now. I am now scared to use the razor blades. but it would take me forever to get the stickers off. My dress attire is to be clean and nice for the customers. but by the end of the day my nice clothes have dirt, stickers, cleaning solution and blood on them. ON top of that all my hard labor work is pointless, my coworker who kinda is my supervisor points out all the stuff i missed. so i have to do it all over again.I make 11.50 an hour, my bf quit his job
