I work in an insurance agency and about 4 months ago, my boss hired an idiot for an office manager position, who claimed she had all this experince but doesn't. No one here likes her neither does the boss. The problem is that the boss is paying unemployment on some else he fired previously, so he's afraid that if he fires her, that he will have the same problem with her. After weeks of messed up policies and complaints from us, the boss finally sat down with her and demoted her to CSR assuming she will feel offended and quit..Well...Guess what? She's still here!!! One good employee that was here for about 2 years quit because of the IDIOT. The receptionist and I are on a mission to get her to do something that is worthy of being FIRED...
I know this sounds cruel, but no one like her and she is so time consuming!!
HELP, I need suggestions quick!!

If paying unemployment is the reason for NOT firing her, he better do it soon. Once an employee has been at a company for 6 months, he/she is entitled to collect unemployment. Tell your boss to check with the unemployment people. I made the mistake of keeping a bad employee for just over six months and fought paying unemployment because of her work record. I lost, sadly and the lesson learned was to let a person go before they have been there 6 months.
She will have to be "written up" two or three times before he can fire her. He will need to have a meeting with her and have her sign a statement saying she attended the meeting and what is was about. It has to be some kind of complaint on paper.
I don't suggest you "do" something to get her fired, it could back fire on you and cause you problems.

The boss is once bitten twice shy. I say that the best case is mis conduct. Some easy ways are to monitor her every move. First write up some serious office rules, and make her sign a copy. If she is on the computer, bust her for surfing the web, using personal e-mail, etc. If she takes a break write her up for being late, leaving early, etc. If she wears a reveling dress, if she wears soiled clothes, wrinkled clothes, etc. Just ride her into submission. The trick is that you and your friend have to abide by the same rules of conduct. The winners get to stay employed.

Well try to dig up some dirt on her. I mean the way you describe her she sounds like she enjoys knowing that all of you hate her because she is still there. Well since i don't work yet i would try to fu** up her work status or send her threating anonymous letters probably that will scare her just make sure she doesn't notice your anger towards her. That will target you as the main target. Good luck in ruining her life she deserves it for being how she is. Or as much as i learned about her with the details.

You can always take advantage of her stupidity or tell her about a different job. Or if in any case fails then go to the boss or just frame her of something. Haha. Come on use your imagination this is America.

Maybe you should try helping this employee see what she is doing wrong on the job instead of using so much energy thinking of ways to get her fired. Or try being nice to her or befriending her. Maybe she is not so bad as you think. And if she is that bad at the job as you say eventually she will quit or be fired. But I wouldnt waste so much time trying to get her fired myself, ask yourself would you want someone to treat you that way.

This was an episode on Seinfeld, call your boss's # from an outside line and keep asking to speak to the person you want fired. Get a guy to call and have him act like her angry jealous boyfriend.

your employer can fire her and not have to pay unemployment if he can prove of why she was fired. especially if you live in a "fire at will" state, which means he can fire anybody, for any reason, and not have to pay unemployment.
i live in an "at will state" and if your employer doesnt like the fact that she has green eyes or brown hair, or has an irritating laugh, she can be fred for that and not have to pay unemployment.
worth checking out, also, in order for a person to be able to collect on unemployment, they have to be employed for a certain amount of time as well, by the same employer.

If you spent more time on trying to find yourself a better paying position at a different location or business altogether for yourself instead of worrying about how to destroy someone else, I bet you would be a lot happier.

Have her bring coffee to the Boss and the Boss pretends to have a seizure and accuse her of putting stuff in it and fire her.

finding ways and means getting someone else fired might just backfire on you. it's the boss' job to fire since he did the hiring anyway. so, let it be his problem. just do your job well. if you can't take it, transfer to another agency. you might just find a better boss with good decision making skills.
