do i need a journalism degree to get a job at a fashion magazine? I have an A.A.S. in Fashion Marketing.?

i live in philly and want to get a job at a magazine in ny, but i need a job in order to move to ny. I have an associates in fashion marketing and want to know if I need a bachelor's in journalism or comm. to land a editorial/beauty/fashion/entertainment assistant position.

This depends entirely on what the employer is seeking. My advice here is to simply go ahead and apply for the position; in your cover letter, explain what your background is and why you feel that you would be a better choice than someone with a journalism background.
