without a raise, they keep giving excuses, they've changed company hands, and are a in-home healthcare company for elderly/disabled patients - mainly low-income, and when a new governor got elected, he cut lots of low-income healthcare programs. however, recently the governor did reviews and saw in-home healthcare compared to nusring homes, benefits the elderly more and is cheaper in the long run, and signed a $400 million fund. My employee handbook states that when a yearly evaluation is done, a raise is determined by performance and what the "avg rate" is ...but i still didn't get my raise and don't know what to do. i'm going to school and looking to go into social work later on, and this is the longest i've worked at one company ever, i'm 25 yrs. old, what's your advice?

I'm looking for a form online, but can't find anything. I'm trying to finish up an application but I can't recall all the jobs I've had, let alone the length in which I worked them. I'd rather not have to make stuff up.

I am a sophmore in high school right now and I started looking at some career options. I'm very interested in helping people (older preferably) with weight/exercise/nutrition.

The only jobs that came to mind were dietician and nutritionist.

My questions are, are there any other similar jobs with higher pay, how much do the above pay (good or bad, don't have to be specific) and since I get good marks, is there a specific doctor's path in this career?

thanks and sorry if I didn't post this in the right area.

Graduating with a physical therapy diploma seems to quickly leads to a stagnant professional dead-end. What career paths, other than treating or managing a physical therapy facility, exist for an experienced (let's say 5 years) physical therapist??

I worked at Washington Mutual for 4 years in half and left about 2 months ago. It was an OK place to work until we went under new management. I reported my manager to HR because of her behavior and the way she would talk to me and the other employees. I called HR and they assured me that something would be done. Its been 2 months and she is still sitting behind her desk. And I still hear stories of her having no consideration with anyone and still yelling at her tellers. So, now that I have left I can't say that Washingon Mutual is the best place to work at. In my opinion its a corrupted company. And I wouldn't recommend anyone to work there.

Ok. I got a great job offer and signed the dotted line that says I accept. I'm due to start on the 1st of August. Now, I've got a chance to interview second-round with an even better company and I'm sure they'll take me. Just that they took a whole lot of time to get back to me. Now, I'm stuck. I feel morally obliged to take up the first offer and not attend the interview. Am I being stupid? What do I do?
