I am having an interview at a hospital Monday. I'm not sure how much they are willing to pay me an hr but I have heard they are paying $10/hr more than what I am currently making. I have a little more than 4 yrs experience & I am certified. How do I go about trying to get them to pay me close to that instead of just settling? What do I say without letting them know that I know how much she is making? And should I let them know how much I am currently making if they ask? I really don't think that is none of their business but I don't want to tell them that. How do I go about this without shorting myself. Any tips or suggestions would help me! Thanks.

I worked a the headquarters of a big food corporation for 6 weeks. It was a temporary position with an "unkown" period of time. I told my boss that if he cuts me, just to let me know about 2 weeks ahead, and he said that is what he usually does. I got the job through the company not a temp agency. Yesterday, which is Friday, 10 minutes before Im about to leave he calls me in his office and tells me thank you your job is over, here is your check. I was like, huh. I felt speechless that I didnt even ask for a reason. I get along with my coworkers and they were shock when I told them the news. I recieved no notice at all. Not too many people in my department like my boss, he is not caring, and does not have people skills. Just graduated college 2 months ago and now I am unemployed.

My father is pressuring me into becoming a prostitute in Las Vegas, because he says I would earn good money with my looks. I dropped out of college and just have my high school diploma. I'm wondering whether I should do it for a few years so that I can pay for college. What do you think? BTW I want to go into Microbiology afterwards.

Thanks!!!

A NY wholesale clothing company had received a large shipment of men's suits from Europe. Many years ago.

They received about 200 suits with two left sleeves.

The mfg. in Europe did not know what to do with them. The cost of return, and remake would be beyond any value of the suits.

They also agreed to adjust the cost to the normal cost %, whatever price anyone could sell them for.

They told the merchant to brainstorm it and try to come up with a solution. And they did, held a sales meeting.

One salesman said he could sell them.

And he did. Every one.

If anyone is curious, email me. eejayi@yahoo.com
Can anyone guess to whom they were sold?

This is no joke, no prank, just a factual answer. I'm not a crank, or predator. I'm 78, just waiting alone for the end.

I really am curious as to how many will want to know to whom they were sold.

NO CHEATING, don't email me unless you have posted an answer. I will only respond to those.

I work at a call center on the west coast, I started out making $8.00/ hr, and am up to $8.75/hr after 10 months, probably closer to $9.25/ hr. after my year is up. My co-workers always complain that this is the lowest paid call center on the west coast, and that we should be starting out at $10.00/hr. What I'm asking, has anybody ever worked at a call center, and if so what did they get paid?

Thanks

Does anyone have a letter of resignation they could copy and paste???? I am literally being "ran off" by the conniving form of a woman known as office manager. She has been rude to me since day one I have been nothing but smiles and "it would be my pleasure" at all times. I am going to leave 3 letters; one for her (office manager), one for my general manager and one for the owner (oblivious to the dysfunctional circus that is the office). I have no desire to use this company as a reference and am not concerned with “burning any bridges” (I have only been here 3 months). Also, I was sick on Friday and left a few hours early. When I came into the office thismorning employees informed me that she was complaining and saying that she is going to discuss firing me with the owner. I have another job I am starting in one week. She has been here for 25 years, even the GM complains about her, nothing I say will change anything, but it will make me feel better lol =)

I have been nothing but smiles and "it would be my pleasure" at all times. I have finally had enough and I am resigning. I am going to leave 3 letters; one for her (office manager), one for my general manager and one for the owner (oblivious to the dysfunctional circus that is the office). I have no desire to use this company as a reference and am not concerned with “burning any bridges”. Should I include my opinion in my letter or should I suck it up and leave on good terms.

I spent years working for a well-known supermarket in the South
(hyphenated name) I'm not going to say who, but I'm sure you can figure it out. The manager was a complete jerk. He was always cursing and insulting me and the other employees. Anyhow, it's over with now. But I just wanted to know what I can do if that ever happens again. It has not only happened there, but other places I've worked for in the past.
