I want to open an interest-earning online checking account. I've heard nothing but good things about ING Direct but Charles Schwab is offering a higher interest rate. I'd like to hear from current customers about what you think of the banks' security, ease in transferring funds to and from your linked "regular" checking account, and customer service. Your advice is greatly appreciated!

They offer a plan with 50 mb disk space.

I have a friend who is going to sell me their property we have
all ready signed a contract however the property is still in the
name of the parent who recently pasted away a "will" clearly states that the property and all the wealth was to be left to my friend including the property in question will a quitclaim be the
proper form to file with the county to transfer ownership can the

I understand the cap is $3,000 per year on securities capital gains loss . However, I also heard that you can assume all losses (greater than the $3,000 threshold) in one year by combining them. Is that only when you sell a property that you can declare greater losses. Or are they referring to different losses (e.g. losses with renting it out, etc). I am confusing the two.

I was wandering abou this company. They are different than a debt consolidator. When I spoke with them they never mentioned about negotiating with the creditors for a lower rate. What they said they do was put my accounts in dispute and wait until the creditor does something illegal that their attorneys will catch, then they use that as leverage against the creditor to wipe out my debt. Like, I dont have to pay it back. Which I thought was strange. All they require is that I pay them about half the amount of my total minimum payments for 18 months. I calculated about $7000 all together to get rid of all $22,000 of my debt. The money they said was to pay the attorneys. The guy said that they are 100% effective but could not give me any guarantees. I checked them out on the BBB and there are no complaints either. What do you think?

I am filling out paperwork to see if i qualify for charity care...and they ask if i have any personal assets? This may sound like a dumb question, but what are personal assets? I am currently financing a car through a bank, is that considered a asset? Also, what are family assets? My husband started a new business (as a new home contractor) a little over a year ago, so it looks like we have not made very much as far as income for this year or last year. My husband does use money from the company to pay our bills, but the money is not considered income. Is there a mortagage company that can look at the fact that we have a really good credit score without considering our income situation?? We have also considered doing a equity loan....is there a place that will loan you 100% of the equity in your home without needing verification of income? or tax records?
