I am trying to send money to different people in my family from the internet. I am looking for what Bank will allow for ACH transfers or direct wiring of money to another bank account without having to supply the "two small deposits" or knowing the login information of the payee. I just want to be able to wire money to any bank account/routing number without having to go through a verification process. Does anyone know a bank that makes this process easy?

I'm living in New Brunswick, Canada, and I don't have a lease. When I moved in we discussed this, and he encouraged me to get a roommate (it's a 2 bedroom apt), he just wanted a reference first. Now he's trying to sell the house (it's been on the market for 4 months now and no serious prospects at the moment) and he says he doesn't want me to get one, because it would "complicate things". Is he legally allowed to refuse me? I doubt he could find reasonable objection to her, as she would have excellent references.

A new logo was developed for a client that is to be unveiled in 2 months. The design has been agreed upon and work has been put into designing collateral and a website. A new person was hired to the board of director's for our client and he took the initiative to show our design to another "designer". This designer then took the initiative to redesign our logo. Though it is not very good, it has placed doubt in the mind of our client's decision-maker as to which direction to take, because he kind of likes this other design.

To add to the unethical decisions made:
In the beginning stages, we were advised to not keep their old symbol (an eagle) so we went in different direction. This other designer put the eagle back into the design which is where part of the doubt creeps in. Our client is confused about whether to keep the eagle or not. At first he didn't care about the target audience, but is now concerned that not keeping the eagle will break ties with customers.

Hi. Anybody work at barnes and nobles? The problem is I do bad at interviews and usually do not get called back for the job and I know I'm a hard worker. Anybody know what kind of job interview questions they ask when getting a job at barnes and nobles? I'm interested in working the information desk or shelving books. I know everyone is going to think I am crazy, but in our first attempt at renting out an apartment we seem to have gotten the tenant from Hell. We agreed to let her move in with 1 dog and 2 cats. She promptly moved in with 1 dog and 11 cats. Her apartment rent was being subsidized by a local charity group, so the first months rent and security were paid. However, after finding out about the unauthorized animals we asked her to remove them and she refused. The charity pulled their funding because she was unwilling to follow our rental contract. We gave her a date of eviction as of Sept. 1st. She has presently planted herself in the apartment, not paying any rent and still has 12 animals in this 900 sq. ft. apartment. She has let us know that she is there and there is nothing we can do about it. We have contacted a lawyer and are having her served with eviction papers, but is there a chance the court will rule she can stay???

My company (35 employees in home office, with 10 employees scattered in 5 remote locations) is looking for a product/service that we can used in a web based environment to track important projects and collaborate on those projects. We could host the product on our own system or use a hosted package, either option is fine.

We do NOT want something over complicated, but we do want to be able to do file sharing, have threaded conversations, track to-dos & responsibilities, set & report on milestones, track whether or not key due dates are being met.

Managing the system should be relatively easy. I am the only IT person on staff and already have a full plate.

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

I just checked my banks website and I'm still running at a high rate. Does it only adjust after my next payment cycle? they are offering a fixed option for a full point and a half less but I can't see why they would offer that unless they expect my adjustable to go even lower in the short term. Is it time to go to a new bank or wait and see if my own rate is lowered given the market?

I'm looking to start a computer service business in South Carolina, and I'm on the fence between choosing an LLC vs. a Sole Proprietorship. What would be best from a tax standpoint?

I’ll initially be working for myself but might eventually hire employees.

This business will be my only source of income, and the main expenses will be advertising (~$2,000 - $10,000) and software purchases ($1,000). The business should bring in about $50k gross the first year.

I will initially be working with home computer owners, although I would like to expand to service other businesses once the company has gained a reputation.

If I’m leaving out important details, please ask and I’ll add them.

Thanks!

I have been working on a short contract at Three in Maidenhead through Project People. The work is advanced
MS Access development. Because of my age I now find it difficult to get work, I'm 53.
I had been out of work for 4 months and took this contract at £10.00 ph. The normal rate for
this type of work is around £35 ph. The work will actually take about three months.
I've had many problems with the agency. Too many to list here. They are appalling.
I've tried to negotiate the rate with the agency with out success. I had to negotiate
an extension of the contract with Three myself because the agency did nothing. Should I ask Three
if they will go through a different agency ? it will break the contract they have with
Project People. Do you know which other agencies Three uses. Will I even get paid by
Project People I've been told so many lies by them I wonder if they are crooks. I'm also
considering asking Three how much they pay the agency ?

I'm single, 29 years old, and will be making $63,000/year. I have been getting a variety of responses from friends and family so I'm getting confused as to what is appropriate. Do I enter "1" for both A and B or just A or just B? (Most people have told me to enter "1" for B only).

A) Enter "1" for yourself if no one else can claim you as a dependent

B) Enter “1” if:
● You are single and have only one job; or
● You are married, have only one job, and your spouse does not work; or B
● Your wages from a second job or your spouse’s wages (or the total of both) are $1,000 or less.
