I'm going to start my pharmacy tech internship next week, so i called the pharmacist and asked her about the dresscode. She said that i should follow my school's dresscode. But the school let's us wear anything we want. I wear t shirts and jeans all the time for school. But would this be appropiate for the pharmacy?(CVS Pharmacy)

Jeans are not appropriate for a pharmacy tech. Dress professional and you will be treated like one. I

Think of it this way, please, if you are going to wear jeans, you might as well wear a t-shirt instead of a nice shirt.

Make a good impression on the staff and the patients. You may end up working there in the future. They will choose you over someone who wears jeans.

I have been to CVS pharmacies and I have never seen anyone wear jeans.

I've noticed the ladies working in the CVS pharmacies and I noticed a few wearing jeans, but thought nothing of the dress code and I don't remember if it was Friday or not. If your worried about making a good impression, not being concerned with what will "fly", then do what feels right.

It depends on the pharmacy..you'll see when ya get there, but as far as the school dress code they more than likely are reffering to your lab coat from school. Just wear something you would wear to an interview but that's comfy and you'll be able to see how everyone else is dressed and go from there, or just go up there early and see how everyone else is dressed ahead of time. Where I did my internship at you could wear dark jeans, but not where I did my hospital hours you couldnt...anyways, dont stress...itll be okay

I dont think that would be appropriate for any medical setting. i work in a hospital, and the ones who are not required to wear scrubs must wear slacks, no blue jeans allowed. It just doesnt look professional.

No, it wouldn't. I would never wear jeans to work in a profession like that.

I would wear business casual clothes, and never camisoles (unless you have a sweater over it) or tennis shoes.

That should cover it.

No, wear dress slacks and a nice blouse, at least for the first day. You can see what everyone else wears.
