I got a bargain on an item in ebay and the seller was looking to get more money for it... They said that someone colored on the screens with sharpie when he wasnt looking. So i said i would still take them and he said that he was afraid to ship them??? (i can get sharpie off it...) So now he keeps asking me if i want a crappier version for more money... when i said no, he said he wanted to refund my money. Then i asked if i could have a picture of the damged ones and he said he didnt have a camera that he knew how to use. I would believe this, if in his last message he hadn't offered to take a picture of the more expensive version! what should i do. He is practicly begging me for to let him refund my money and not ship the item. I have never had this problem and dont know what to do!

Okay I found a gift card on the street. The card and pin # were still under the little "scratch here" silver foil thing so I doubt it's been used. But on the back it say's that if lost or stolen it cannot be replaced without the original receipt. So if I use it, will I get into any kind of trouble?

I was trying to sell some jewelry on Craigs list and I got like 4 people who wanted to buy it and then they say that they will send me extra money and to deduct the price I'm asking and send the rest through western union. They are sending a money order or a Cashiers check. Is this some time of scam??? Is this illegal in some way if I do this. Cash the Money order and send the rest of the money through western union????
Why are these different people doing this and for what reason. I would really like to know.
Hope you can help me out.

Now, if you browse around ebay fairly frequently like me, you might notice buyers with screennames with a letter, 3 stars, and a letter. For example "h***h". For some reason, it seems like they are bidding on everything. Take this as an example

for some strange reason, auctions are becoming like the auction I showed above. I find it strange.... Does anybody know anything about this infestation on Ebay? I am serious.

My home is currently for sale, and I've been approached by an interested party who would like to rent-to-own. He's proposing renting my home for five years before purchasing, but he's proposing that he would get the property tax and finance charge tax credit. Even if I agreed to that, which I'm not, can he do that?

1st jan 2006 $20000 opening bank account, from that brought truck $16000. $48 cash in truck $350 inventory in truck. paying salary to himself each mnth $2000. invoices paid to suppliers total$25296. operating expenses (truck) $1828. one unpaid invoice of $254, truck has 5yr depriciation, june 30th bank account is $11110... i have tried and tried im not understanding where to calculate the revenue... PLEASE HELP. i assume that he has earned $7110 to get that amount inhis bank.. though are wages an expense due to taking it out of the business?? do i add the $11110 to his profit/loss..

My husband and I are renting a house when we get there, but I have poor credit from my previous marriage, which is really hard to get cleared up, and my new husband has very good credit. We have been living together for over 2 years, and he has been buying a home for the passed 16 yrs. Is it that difficult to rent when one adult from the household has bad credit? Also I should mention. My husband is the one whom will have the employment, which I wont, so they will have to base that off his income rather then mine. I know that will play a factor, considering they will want to know how the house will be paid for.

I just moved into my own condo, and I've been comparing my costs for utilities (gas & water) to what I was paying at my apartment. They were charging me DOUBLE what I'm paying here, plus a $5.00 service fee for the privilege. My usage hasn't changed.

The complex was fairly large, one of many run by Arnel Management, owned by billionaire George Argyros. Apparently, he can't afford to individually meter each unit for their usage, so instead, they average out the total costs of water and gas over the entire complex. Each tenant pays according to the size of their unit.

Well, I was in one of their larger units, but I was a single woman! So I was paying the same as the family of 4 or more! Obviously, this isn't fair, but IS IT LEGAL?

If it's not legal, what next? Better Business Bureau? District Attorney? Who? This is in the state of California.
