When my father-in-law died, my mother-in-law needed help. Okay she had a "friend", not a man just a daughter type "friend" that was helping her out with her bills and things of that nature. Well my mother-in-law can't see very well, her diabetes is affecting her eyesight. She started getting calls from credit card companies and places she had accounts saying that she was two to three months behind on her payments. When she asked this "friend" she said she would take care of it. However this friend has not provided any reciepts or any of the money from the benefit that was held to help pay the funeral expenses of my father-in-law. She is now avoiding my mother-in-law.

I am very angry and I suspect that this woman has robed my mother-in-law and ruined her credit. How can we prove this and what can we do about it? I'm going to set up an account at my bank for my mother-in-law and I told her not to give this woman any more of her money.

What do yo all think?

My auto loan is due tommorow. I have the money, but I completely forgot to send it out and mail is really slow around here. I don't want to spend $30 to send it overnight. What I was wondering is if the check is postmarked on the due date (tommorow) will it be considered late? I called the bank and they're closed, and I have school tomorrow until 7pm. The bank is First State Bank if anyone is familiar with them. Should I send out a check? Or wait until tommorow to call? Do banks accept debit card payments for auto loans? I have no idea... Anyone with prior experience who wants 10pts please answer. Thanks in advance!

Hey Guys,

I was in a car accident November 18th of last year. I hired an attorney in January and I have a good case. It seems like it's taking forever for me to get the money that is rightfully mine. How long do these kind of cases last and when should I expect my claim to be settled? I need the money now so I can start my life. Is there any way to speed up the process and also, could I get loans from my lawyer if he KNOWS I am getting a big settlement? He says he's just waiting for Geico to settle. I am really growing impatient and I need the money ASAP.

Thanks in advance!

Im getting laid off from my current job but I am going in for an interview at JCPenney for loss prevention. I have no retail or LP experience but they want me for an interview anyways so that is good. But I know my chances of getting the job are smaller because of the lack of experience. Should I use the fact that I catch on quickly to new things? At my current job I had no experience going in, and all I did was pack parts into a box and tape it up (very easy and simple) but the supervisors wanted me to run their biggest, most productive press after working there for a month. So maybe I could use that example to pursuade them to hire me. Give me some good ideas, anything should be helpful.

A term first coined by Victor Newman in "The Knowledge Activists Handbook" where he describes that "The role of the knowledge activist is to be unreasonable, to identify and combine those small grains of truth that have the potential to become pearls."

I'd like to know what is role and responsiblities of knowledge activist and required skill ?

The mortgage application has my name only. How good is it to add my wife's name too on title? If I add her name in title, and in case of any default in future, will she be responsible for a part. Will it affect her credit history and bank balances anyway?? What are the Pros and Cons of having her name in Title.

Hi, i'm 19 and live in Australia. At the moment i'm working full time and paying off a vehicle. I make about $500 a week mainly due to my age. I live at home and am trying to make the most of saving while I still can. $200 of my earnings are for my car and i'm usually left with $300 and try to put away $250 a week to my savings account.

At the moment I have $3000 saved and it is growing week by week now for the question. I'd like to know what are my options to try and invest and make it grow. My parents are pretty clueless but my plan is to save up 20% of a house deposit and try to pay it off as quick as possible. Should I be thinking about this now or wait to I have a little more (say $5000-$10000) Are shares a good option? or should I look for high interest bank accounts?

btw houses are around $150,000 to $200,000 in my area ($AU) Thanks for any help
