Too make a long story short, i cosigned for someone for a car and it got repo'ed. The finance company sold the car, charged off the account and gave the account to a law firm because it was a left over balance. I made payment arrangement with the lawyers, and eventually paid the balance/account off.I know the damage is already done to my credit because of the repo. How will paying off this account impact my credit score? Will it raise it, lower it, or will it stay the same? Some people have told me it will do nothing to my credit score, others have said it may have a little effect on my credit because it will lower my debt to credit ratio. What do you think?

I got hurt outside of work .{close to my house on the curb } i broke my ankle now i cant work for 6 to 8 weeks . my insurance does not pay me for past 90 days . how can i get money to support my family with out empting out my bank account. this is the first time i ran into something like this . have worked for many years, but not ready for this, where can i get $$ to help me pay RENT. I want to terminate my cell phone account, however I have one year contract left.
I do not want to pay terminate fee... If I just stop paying bill, are they gonna terminate my account?

My colleague got a promotion and her old job is up for grabs. I'm bascially her understudy and I was very interested in the job in the beginning and I expressed my interest to my boss. My boss didn't seem too impressed with me as far as taking over and I figured that management was probably looking at other options, which was fine, though I couldn't understand why I wasn't at all being considered. In the meantime, I did some soul searching of my own and realized I really don't want the position, though I do want the money, and have decided to look outside my department for other options in the future. As it turns out I'm now being considered for the job, I think they're desperate, but I no longer want it. Will it look bad if I still don't apply for it because I'm no longer interested? Should I apply?

I really can not understand why the worry about sub-prime, if you dont pay the bank or morgage company resposses house and they can sell it again and get their money back. They never lose nothing, but, perhaps high interest that they charged in the first place. It is only a paper loss not a dollar loss. All this fuss about hedge funds losses is only wall street cronies crying cause they did not get their over priced home money and interest on time, it is the rich crying that they did not make as much money as they wanted. They still got material holdings in that they hold title to foreclosed houses. Too much about nothing, but, the rich trying to get richer as usual circumstances in a few controling the wealth and the middle and poor suffering from the rich greed and incompetance.

This is long, and complicated. Please read, as I am looking for the best advice possible.

At the end of April, I received the official offer letter from a company, and I accepted it at beginning of June. I graduated from college, and officially started September 4th.

The biggest factor when making the decision was the location--the company is in a smaller town about 50 miles out of the city. I could've chosen to live in the suburbs a little closer to the town, however, the company's offer letter included a company car--which meant if I was willing to drive 45 minutes each way and pay for the gas (total 100 miles everyday), I would be able to live in the city and commute without adding miles to my personal car.

I work and get a W-2 at the end of the year, so I need to know what to keep and file for my taxes... I also do a side jobe of a MLM company, and need to keep those items seperate for filling a 1099 at the end of the year. --Also my hubby is a 1099 only for his work, and need to organize his stuff.
