I've been with Paypal for three and a half years and they've never done anything wrong.

They take 2% and possibly a small fee for some overseas sales, but it's pretty small. They work with volume, not ripping people off right and left. They'd be taken to court if they did that since it's theft.

Identity theft does steal money from people, but the ones who do that aren't businesses, they're individuals who set out to rob people online.

I check my credit card statement every month and have not had any problems with Paypal or eBay with it. I'm wondering if the people you mentioned were actualy ripped off by the fake paypal or ebay messages.

There's a lot of those, I get at least four a week that say my account will be frozen if I don't go to a certain URL and enter my password and information. Those are scams, not done by Paypal. The people steal the page logos from Paypal's site and put their own address under the 'clickhere' section.

You can tell that it's not from the REAL Paypal because the real one will ALWAYS call you by your real name when they email you, they don't say 'paypal customer'. And if you put your cursor over the URL on the fake email you'll see the actual false address down on the lower left side of the screen that you'll be rerouted to if you respond to these stupid messages.

THOSE are what's called phishing scams, they do that so people who think it's a real Paypal email will give over their personal account info, right to the people who are scamming them. Dumb dumb dumb!!!!!

If you get one of those emails and forward it to spam@paypal.com you'll get an email back from the real paypal telling you that it's a fake email and not to give any information to them or you could compromise your information.

No, they don't steal from people. However, scam artists posing on the internet will tell you that they are with Paypal. Never, ever answer them or click on the link to answer any questions!!! This scam comes up all of the time. If you need to contact Paypal, just go directly to their site: which I suppose is www.paypal.com

I use PayPal and have never been ripped of. They do charge small fees. But everyone has to make money.
