would like to register it as a non profit tax exempt corporation to be able to solicit funds for operation and to be able to recruit volunteers through the established online sites such as volunteermatch

It's a great idea to make an easy-to-reference compendium of information of such services, I imagine the task of keeping it updated immediately and consistently so that it remains up-to-date and accurate would be overwhelming.

When you say 'non profit' idea, do you mean you want to register as a nonprofit and solicit funding to compile this information or do you want to compile this information for use by established nonprofits?
