I am talking about a very easy to understand book that teaches you about the different types of investments, coupon rates, premium and discount rates etc. I have no clue about this entire subject and need a book that can help me understand this in a non-complicated way.

I, and a few of my upper management co-wokers have recently been given so much work that we feel we are being forced out (we think due to outsourcing). "They" are bringing in an outside company to "map" our processes. We have a new president who does not listen to us, does not communicate unless it is to scrutinize or hand off more work. We are all great employees who have been at this job for years all earning great scores on our reviews. Now, we cannot do our jobs due to workload that cannot be done even in a ten hours/5 days a week. What are our options, can we fight a large corporation who is looking to send our jobs overseas?

i was wondering if anyone had any info about them.it seems its just like getting a stock directly from a company rather than going through a broker.then they pay u dividends and if u reinvest them in the company and keep putting more of your own capitol into it then u can earn substantially more than a 401k plan.theres even a company in california called the dividend company which tries to give out more and more each month.

I got a job 2 weeks ago after a long 2 months of hard looking/applying/interviews. I must have went through 7 different interviews and none of those hired. The job I just got hired to was a walk in and they asked me if I needed a job. Now I thought it was totally strange for a company to ask me if I needed a job but what the hell, yea! I need the money.

I bring this up because allmost ALL the people I know are having really bad times finding jobs. One of the people I know even went as far as applying to McDonalds but he was never called for a interview or anything. He even called them. My brother got hired but it took them a full month to tell him he was hired.

Is this noticable for anyone else or is it just a run of bad luck for some of us?

People can to go on to my website and book flights, cruises, honeymoons, car rentals, hotels for very competitive prices.
I would like suggestions on what I can name it so that it will attract people. At the moment it has a temporary name with just initials but I feel it's too blah. I'd like something catchy.
Also, if you can give any marketing ideas I'd greatly appreciate it. Serious answers only please.

Once I decide on a name then I will post it so that maybe you can book your next vacation.
Thanks in advance.

I owned a business (sole proprietorship) which was closed. All but one debt was paid off. The business has been closed for 12 years, and about 4 years after it closed, I got invoices for an unpaid phone bill. I still haven't paid it, and strangely it has not showing up on my credit report for any of the 3 bureaus. I have very good credit and this collection is just not on there. I heard that 7 years was the limit that an agency can collect on something. I have no intentions of paying it since its not on my reports, but I am tired of getting bills from this company, and have asked them to stop sending me bills, but they keep on coming anyway! Any ideas?? Thanks.

His net is $100,000.00 per year of the land. I know that the house and land is not community property but my question is.. Is the income from the property community property?

I moved out and now I am being charged for this: My old roommate had a pet (we were both on lease) he didn't pay deposit then moved out and took pet with him. That was a while ago. There is damage from pet I said I would pay but they want me to pay damage AND deposit now even though I am gone and pet was his. They also won't tell me how old paint or carpet was or how much the old tenant paid for their damages on carpet (which was still there when I lived there)

She (the caller from the marketing company) said that I would receive $200 for the 20min phone interview, then if selected $100 for a second phone interview or $200 if selected for an in-home interview---this was a 1-in-6 chance. She said that their "client" who would be reveiled during the surveys would not be trying to sell me anything, but to try out their online banking tools and then comment on them.

What I thought was strange was she didn't identify what market research company she was with, how she got my number, and what company/client they were gathering information for. [she did say that it would be "reveiled" during the interviews]

I decided to pass on this, but is this legit? She call me from (503) 281-5015.

My mother has told me that if even one of her bank accounts, automobiles, etc. is not included in the framily trust, everything would be thrown into probate at the time of her death. Today she opened up a money market account. The bank told her not to be concerned about having my sister and I fill out a family trust form so she had them put my name on the account as co-owner. The bank told her that at her death, no death certificate would be needed; I would just close out the account and divide it with my sister. Should I be concerned that family trust forms were not part of the application process?

Both my boyfriend and I have very, very bad credit. We have paid all of our debts off, but that still does not help our cause.

We want to own a home and NOT rent.

How are we going to be able to get a mortgage w/ such bad credit. We do not want to be renters forever. We CAN afford a home, but we can't get the loan.

Okay, So I go to MSU and I have been taking all the nursing pre-requisites. I will apply to their traditional B.S. nursing program in a couple weeks. I've heard that it is very hard to get in. If I don't get in, i'm wondering what other school I could apply to. Does anyone know anything about other universities in Michigan that have nursing programs? Any info would help.
