If a store had a promotion running where you could save money by signing up for their credit card and you were to cancel the application the next day or so before you got the card, would that negatively affect your credit or would it be fine so long as you do not purchase anything?

I have 3 jobs, one at a resturant, another at a cafe & childcare twice a week.

I am 15, what are your opinions on this? I enjoy working, if I didn't I wouldn't be doing so much. But I don't want to be wearing my body out.

OK. I'm not really serious.

This is just my protest of seeing so many questions about people wanting money fast, or loans with bad credit, or ways to make money without actually doing anything to earn it.

There is no free easy money out there. Stop asking these stupid questions.

To my shock when I moved in, I seen that I did not have my OWN room, rather I "shared" a room with someone and only had bookshelves that split the two rooms apart. Leaving Two feet above each the bookshelves with nothing seperating the two of us. I'm attending college and need to work in the evenings on assignments, but being able to without disturbing the roommate is..difficult. Any advice?

if I am planning to start saving $850.00 a month, into a savings account, which would give me more money over say a year or two; an account that compounds daily or monthly? And, any suggestions of whom I can start saving with? Or, would it be wiser to save up and invest the minimum required for a money market account? The reason I am so interested is I am a single parent and trying to save up for a home, the more you can pay down, the lower the monthly payments will be, and hopefully the better the home I can afford.

here's the case

i live in new york ( upstate )
i graduated in 2006 , ( engineering degree )

but i worked at this call center for 6 months ( mar - august )

what had happend was that i got fired when they were trying to make me full time , they checked my attendence report ( Due to my absenses which was against the company policy ,but i did call in sick whenever i took leaves )

Now i am home , looking for engineering jobs , but i don't think i would be able to find anything any time soon . so would very much like to know if i am eligible to get any unemployment benefits .
