When exercising employee stock options, are taxes automatically withheld by the employer and reported on the w-2 so therefore no 1099-B needs to be filled out. It looks like I overreported withholding in 2005 according to the IRS and it appears because I doubled up the withholding for the stock exercise.

Thanks

I'm a single guy, no dependents, earn $27,500 a year. Will it really be worth it for me to invest in a new Prius for the sake of the tax credit?

I'm not worried about car payments because I have excellent credit.

Does anyone know: I know it varies but, what is the usual wait time between the time you submit an application for a job and the time an employer will contact you? Bascially, when do I stop waiting for an answer?

i am talking about both california and federal tax combined.

Also, how much is property tax in california and how do you subtract the appropriate amount from your income tax to see how much you will really have after everything?

What does wiring funds mean?

I am planning to open an online savings account and I needed to link my bank account to the online savings account (either iGObanking or HSBC). When I transfer the funds over to the online account, is it consider the same thing as wiring? and will they charge a fee to do that?

Weird question, I know. I just got on medical assistance because I need some major dental work done (and I take expensive prescriptions medications that I cannot afford otherwise). I live at home, have no savings, and don't currently have a job. My aunt called the welfare office about a week ago and they said that I would qualify for medical assistance no matter what because they would base it on my income, which is zero (even if I do still live at home).

Well I went in for my interview today, and my caseworker said that I CAN have medical assistance, but there is one stipulation: I cannot earn over $200 per month. This is a big deal to me because I need to start paying back a student loan, and I want to learn to drive so I need to pay car insurance. Basically, what job(s) can I get or do that would put me under that income limit? And I've already thought of paper routes, babysitting, dogwalking, etc (there aren't big demands for any of those here). Any help would be appreciated.
