almost 60 days after the card had been cancelled. They are saying that it needs to be investigated. Is this bank fraud. Shouldn't that card have come up invalid when someone tried to use it???? Is the bank responsible for replacing this money?

i am confused on the rates for this year.
it shows different percentages for how much you you will owe, that i understand, but what does it mean when they also add ex amount of dollars on top of the percentage?

ex:
taxable income $31,850 - $77,100
(the tax is)

$4,386.25 plus 25% of the amount over 31,850

what is the extra $4,386.25 for? & how does it interfer with your income?

thanks <33333

i had negative collection accounts removed from my credit file. I negotiated this with my collectors, i would settle the debts with a stipulation that once they were paid, they would have the report completely deleted from my credit file. They agreed to this in writing. I checked all 3 credit reports a couple of days ago, and they kept their word!! (hooray).
So now, i have NO negative tradelines on my credit file whatsoever and i have 3 accounts in good standing (all of which have been opened for at least 3 years) as showing open/never late.
My question is how long do i have to wait until my credit score goes up? i want to get a car loan asap!

I've been charged $250 for buying jewelry, it says in my online card account, and I checked every reciept I have kept and certainly don't remember buying a jewelry. What should I do? I already called the bank and told them that I've been charged of something that I didn't buy and even called the store from where the jewelry was bought, and they just ignored my call. Answers are appreciated(:

I was desperate to sell my house, and I found a family that wanted to rent it for a couple of months until they qualify to buy it. They have made the first two payments right on time, and the last two they still haven't paid. Now this is showing on my credit report. I know this was probably not the smartest way to go, but I was desperate to get rid of it. Now I am in a huge need of a car, and noone really wants to lend me anything due to the past due mortgage payments. Any suggestions???? Please let me know....

I just got married.

My credit is stellar. My hubby's: not so much.

My question is, will the debts that he had before influence my credit score?

Will the debts that he's incurred since we got married influence my credit score if he fails to make timely payments?

We don't have any joint credit cards or accounts. We keep our money separate (yes, I know it's strange, but it works for us).

I know that crediors can come after me for any debts he's gotten into since we've been married if he defaults on payments, but I wonder if it's affecting my score in the mean time...

Our office has a door lock exactly like this one:

Photo - http://www.flickr.com/photos/fboyd/502124613/

Anyone know what model/brand it is? Where can I get one? I changed it once about a year ago but now everyone knows the code. The office manager wants me to change the combo but we do not have the instructions or the little key anymore to do so. I was thinking maybe I can ask for one where they sell them. Any other ideas? Thanks for the help!

Is there an amount of time he has to wait before he can apply? and how do they decide how much youre going to be able to receive during the time youre on unemployment? can you apply directly online or do you have to download/print out the forms and mail them in? any info y'all could share so i can help him understand what to do would be great he has never had to file for unemployment and neither have i so neither of us really has a clue other than that im pretty sure he will qualify. thanks in advance :) pIeCeZ!!!

My 17 yr. old son has done some misc. work for people over the summer. Mowing lawns for neighbors. He also helped build an addition, and did some roofing work. He was paid cash for these jobs. He was paid by the job for mowing the lawn. But the other work he was paid $10 hr. cash. Can he put this stuff down on a job application? How should he word it? Does he say self employed?

The job applications he will be filling out will be for his first job. He filled out a few applications last winter, but didn't have anything to write down for employment. He's hoping that the little bit of work he did over the summer will be helpful. He's just looking to get a job at like Walmart or something.

My company allows me to choose how much of my 401k money is allocated to the following funds:

Aim Funds High Yield Fund (HYINX)
Loan Fund (LOAN)
Scudder Growth & Income Fund (SCDGX)
Vanguard Index 500 Fund (VFINX)
Wells Fargo Emerging Markets (MFFAX)
Westwood Balanced Fund (WEBAX)
Westwood Equity Fund (WESWX)
Leggette & Company Stock (LAC)
Columbia Intermediate Bond (SRBFX)
First Eagle Overseas Fund (SGOVX)
Founders Growth Fund (FRGRX)
Loomis Sayles Bond Fund (LSB1Z)
Ml International Value I (MAIVX)
Neuberger Berman Genesis Fund (NBGNX)
Old Mutual Emerging Growth Fund (OBEHX)
Schwab Institutional Cash Fund (SWIXX)

I'm 22 years old, so I have quite some time before I plan to retire. I understand that I should choose an aggressive mix, but how do I know what's "aggressive?"

What percentages would you recommend choosing for each fund?

I'd really appreciate both general guidelines and specific recommendations...
