Were divorced in May. He had to pay a lot in taxes filing single, so let him file joint to give him a break. I never signed the return, even though he still had to pay in but, less. Is that illegal, if he forged my name

My dad asked me earlier to look at his bill, and on it says there's a 100$ charge from/by a NYTELECONFE. It also gives a 1-800 number beside the name, and "NY" right after the number. I can only assume that "NYTELECONFE" means New York Telephone Conference. The thing is, we live in California, and my dad doesn't know anyone from New York. As far as we know, there's no one that's used his credit card, nor do they have access to it.

I'm stumped myself, and the bank told us to call the 1-800 number, but the 1-800 number is busy all the time, and as far as tracking the number online, the search has proven a failure. I can't track this number anywhere.

Can someone help?

I worked for a University in admissions for 3 yrs and been on several teams and I was very successful on all. The last team I was on was working under someone that was dating a co-worker on the same team and she was not doing her job under SOP. That caused a conflict of interest with me and my student. She tried to stop his enrollment because he responded mean but I asked my boss (her boyfriend) to interviene. He said it is out of his hands. The student went over her head to upper management and now is a student. I somehow got a final written warning for this. I never had one before with this company. Within a weeks time after that a tech created a hostile situation for me but I walked away from it. He went to that same boss and reported I cursed and confronted him. The boss biasly believed him and did not come to me. I had to go to HR myself with witnesses that cleared me. On the same day I was cleared, I was fired for a comedy email I sent to my friends that was sent to me. Help!

...report his income to the IRS?'He' tells me that he only does jobs by the day. Each day is a different job.So, he can bid jobs at $250.Very seldom do any jobs earn him more than $500 from any one person. He worked as a carpenter for 20 years and always paid taxes and child-support and when work slowed down he started doing cash jobs and never really stopped.'He' says that since his credit is bad anyway, he'll never even attempt to finance anything. He has a pre-pay credit card. His roommates pay the utilities. He hasn't had a bank account for two years, either. He realizes his social security benefits will be affected, but 'he' says "who knows if there will even be SS in 20 years. He's 45 now and feels that most people are being hi-jacked by the government by taking almost half your $ when you earn it.Then, they tax you for anything you buy with it.If you save it, they tax you for that.If you invest it, they tax you for that. His roomies cover all rent-Can the IRS ever prove anything?

In states where labor unions are heavy, the cost of living is much higher (and taxes usually too.) In those open shop states with few if any labor unions, the cost of living is lower, along with taxes.
Of course, the wages in open shop states are less too.
What is the answer here?
Are labor unions a big player in why jobs are being shipped overseas? Or is that just massive corporate greed?
Is everyone with a 401k a contributor to jobs being shipped overseas? If you want your returns higher, than you work to get the company to cut costs, and labor is a huge cost (especially when you add in benefits.)

I'm looking for fields I might want to work in so I have a general idea. My skills include, aside from being able to read and write well, typing fast, comprehension, patient and a perfectionist. I am also very verbal, like philosophy, logic, reasoning, am good at solving problems and know my way around several MAC and Windows computer programs, including PP, Word, Publisher, Photoshop even Lotus.

I just have a few demands:

1. Well paid: Eventually...
2. Fast-paced: I have too much energy to sit a desk all day.
3. Unpredictable schedule: I don't really mind long hours, I just wouldn't really want to work a job that's 9-5 every day. It would bore me to no end.
4. Mentally challenging: This one shouldn't be too hard I guess.
5. Social: Pretty self explanatory
6. As little math as possible: I'm really not good with numbers. If it requires anything beyond + - x / % I'm not doing it.

So, anybody have some suggestions? I would appreciate them.

I called my bank and they said that the only way someone would be able to tamper with accounts is if he/she had a certain license to do this with the account info; and I could easily file a claim and everything can be traced.

Does anyone have much experience with direct deposit pay?

I live in a home where the owners rent rooms.I am alone. The other family is a total of 9.The owner & his wife lives at the same residence. So there is a total of 10 people all together. 7 adults -1 high schooler -2 young ones. One month the pge bill came up to 450$.
I feel that the bill should be split amongst the 7adults, which would bring my share to apprx.65$ per person. I have always given 100$ no matter how large/small the bill was.I heard from the other family that I should be paying more than what I give.I disagree.Their reasoning is: in my room,I have1 tv, a laptop, a small refrigerater and at this time a fan. They have the same & more but believe that I use more electricity than all of them together. Can anyone tell me how much does each of my items cost me to use daily? I do work so I am not home until 5p while 3 of them don't work. They are home all day on using three computers, tvs for the little ones and cuz its been hot many fans, etc. I believe I am fair in this. Do U

Hi, I havent take a look at my credit score but i know is bad, i just divorce and i got fired from my last job (unfairly) but thanks God i have a good job now.
My point is that i really dont have too much debt in comparison to the average person but I have been very late on my payments until 5 months due! SO i need some advise in what to do :
I have a credit card that the balance is like 250 and i have to pay monthly $15 so? how should i pay it in order to increase my credit score? should i pay $30 monthly instead of the $15? or should i try just to pay it off in 2 months? I dont have any idea how this credit score thing works!
Please give me an advice only if you are sure about it...

Thank you very much ;-)
