i recently got a job as a cook in an on the books caterering hall in new york state i filled out my w-2 form and all the other papers you have to fill out to be offically working there and i have not heard from the place in a little longer then a week are they playing games with me? can on the book jobs screw you over like that?? whats going on

I am starting a business in the United States and many have told me to use "holiday" in place of "Christmas" when advertising for the Christmas time. I am not originally from the U.S., so I'm not really getting this concept. Why should "holiday" be used? I thought America was Christian country? What should I use for best profits? Thank you

Well im 17 and i just got called for my first job interview from CVS pharmacy in a couple of days. This is going to be my first job let alone my first interview, so i just want to know what would be some good questions to ask them???? or some good catch phrases that will make them remember me in the picking process. I start school on Jan 14th - which is when tuition and fees are due. I'm in the military, but because of my choice of university I'm deciding to attend - they will not pay my tuition up front. I first have to pay for the semester and then they reimburse me. The problem is: I will not have that amount of money up front. I was hoping my tax refund will help me out. I don't know anything about loans. All I know is my boyfriend has a ton of debt. All his loans, credit card bills and his truck plus my student loan comes to about 27,000 dollars... i'm only 20, he's 23... I know, it's bad. We REALLY want a loan to consolidate all of these things, but... can we get it? I have no credit whatsoever and he has very, very poor credit. But we both have pretty nice cars we could use as collateral, and we've been at each of our jobs for 2 years. My parents have excellent credit and said they would cosign... now, since we aren't married can we consilidate both our bills with one loan? And will my parents extremelly good credit be enough to get it? Oh, and will they let us pay a small payment for the next 15 years? Or are we pretty much screwed...

WIth summer ending it is time to evaluate our intern however he was brought on with no experience in teh field and sadly, seeminly little desire to acquire any. There has been a definite sense of pulling teeth to get them going (not performing tasks that we discussed in a timely fashion, making themselves scarce when work comes up, etc.) There has been very little growth as far as his learning/participating in our everyday work flow.

How do I fill out his evaluation? In his defense he is a terribly nice person and the manager dropped the ball by not giving him a dedicated project or a specific mentor.

Anothe rcomplication: His dad is an executive in the company. While I wish this was not a factor I am realizing I live in the real world. How should I let this play into my evaluation?

Ok, I am not too understanding of everything dealing with home equity loans and refiancing. I really want to refinance my house and get cash (like $20,000) from my equity without having my house payment higher...first, I should ask if that's even a possibility. I talked to some company and a person said that isn't possible because it's like adding 20,000 to your loan, ok, I understand that but another company said my house payment wouldn't go up any. I am lost, if you cant get equity out without rasing your house payments, what's the difference from a home equity loan and a regular loan? And also any suggestions about how to go about what I want to do would be great, thank you!!!

i have some charge offs on there from a time when i was out of work on medical. ive paid em off and they changed it all to pays as agreed and its positive on my reports now. nothing negative showing on my report now -- so how come my score has not increased and im being denied credit???? how long does this take? i paid everything off this past may.
