I really really really want to be a vet and can see myself working as a vet and i know it would be an awsome career but im worried about the hours you have to spend working because i want to be able to see my family(when i have one) and have a life outside work. Is it possible to be a vet and do other things as well. Also what exactly are the hours worked by any vets you know of

ok let's say i brought something off of e-bay for $20.00 and i have $10.00 in my paypal account and $25.00 in my bank account...would the money come out of my paypal account to pay for half of the item i brought and than the otha half come from my bank account..or would they just take the whole $20.00 out of my bank account and leave the $10.00 in my paypal account alone?

I would like to see property taxes abolished & a 2% city tax of personal income be charged along with an increase in state income taxes. Here, in North Dakota, our property tax is way out of line, while our state income tax is almost nill. Some people want to abolish the state income tax. This would only benefit the extremely wealthy & the large corporations. With the 2% city tax & the increase in state income tax, this should help fund our schools & provide services for the entire state.

Well, I was on ebay, this lady had a listing of a walmart gift card, she supposibly had an extra card worth $500 and was selling for $270. I emailed her outside ebay and set up payment through greendot moneypak. I sent her the code for the reloadable code, which I regret and then was waiting for her to email me back. Within 8 hours or that moment she closed down her ebay account. She said she was going to email me back right away. 2 days later she said she sent it and gave me a phoney tracking #, obvioustly it didnt work and I have no way of getting in contact with her. Why don't companies send a letter or email to the people they have interviewed to let them know that the job has been filled? It is very stressful to wait for two or three weeks and hear nothing back from the companies. I send a letter of thanks after each interview but the companies don't seem to have the courtesy to inform me when the position is filled. I email them one week later to let them know I am still interested, yet they don't even respond to the email with a note saying if the job is filled or not. I have heard this same thing from other people who go to interviews. Is it the new practice of HR to just ignore the people after the interview? Why would they think this is acceptable to job candidates? Is there anything I can do or say at the interview to encourage them to let me know?

Do people not understand how hard the mathmatics of being an RT is and how much responsiblity you have? Intibating someone is not a piece of cake, neither is figuring out PEEKs or Ventilators and dealing with antagonistic, antigens, cholenergic receptors, etc....why would people assume it's simple? There is not a chance I'm asking my parents to do it. I can pay almost 20k down on a 50k starter home. I am a student with a lot of assets, but do not have a good paying job (yet).. only what my parents have invested in the stock market for me.

Her family knows that I have more than enough money, but how do I approach them? I'm paying 1k/month for our rent when my mortgage would be 1/2 that.

So I married a Canadian, now we are seperated but not divorced. I live here in the United States and she lives in Canada. Do I have to claim married on my w-2s and with all of my tax paperwork? Been looking for another job. Why do employers ask for supervisor name & number on their applications when all they are required to do by law is ask for my end/start date and my duties? They cannot ask about my personality, pay, if i quit or got fired, or if i was ever a bad employee right?

So why do employers still ask for last rate of pay and want to know my supervisors name and number? I usually give them the 1-800 number to call and get verification.

And why would i tell them my REAL last rate of pay? Wouldnt that prevent me from asking for a higher rate? It has in the past so i'm going to start lying about it and add a couple thousand dollars to my "last rate of pay".

I'm interested in all kinds of things but do NOT want to go to college so don't suggest it. I live in Ohio and would like to move to Los Angeles in a couple of months. I'm getting in to power tools and have thought about building things like chairs, bookcases, etc but I want to know other careers or ways to make money without college. If someone has really bad hearing loss in one ear that prevents them from hearing everything people say.Then should they let their employer know about it? Also what advice would you give them about rude customers who become short because they can't hear them because they're too quiet for their good ear to pick up the sound or the person isn't speaking clearly to be understood? I just think it's wrong for anyone to be rude to the handicapped and slightly handicapped people.No matter the reason. Because it's not like they can help it.
