I was cheated by my Loan Officer who promised me 6.25% interest and $1500.00 refund from my Loan amount due to my not paying the points and not charging Survery and Termite Inspection. When the closing papers came, I was shocked to see that I was given 6.50% interest rate and the amount that was to be refunded was named as Fee which HAD to pay. On calling him, he told me to go ahead and sign the papers and he will definitely get back what I was promised. The 3 day loan period went back very fast by his false promises and then after that, he stopped taking my calls. Now everybody says that since I signed the papers, nothing can be done. I feel cheated. Is there anything I can do about it??

america was built on the foundation of being tax free. we even threw a tea party over it back in the day. now however, people have houses taken from them, inheritances taxed so greatly they lose everything. i knew a farmer who died and left his land to his three sons. they had no money and nothing besides the land they worked on all their lives. the government came and told them the value of the land for inheritance tax. they were unable to pay it and lost everything. not every case is as big as this but it is important you realize this happens everyday. any working american is taxed, losing about 15-20% of what they make before they even are paid. we are a nation with a high poverty level while politicians and government officials live with all the luxeries. we need to realize this as a country. what does everyone else think?

My late husband beleived that I was the beneficiary of his life insurance. I REMEMBER early in our marriage that we both changed our beneficiaries to each other. He told others that I was the beneficiary.

However, after he died I discovered that the insurance company had his mother as the beneficiary. She has made it very clear that I will not see a penny of it. I cannot find the documentation that indicates that I was the beneficiary. I know that as a general rule one cannot successfully contest the life insurance beneficiary. Under these circumstances do I have any hope of successfully suing for the money?

The wage on the resume I sent them is lower than my current pay as I just got a promotion recently before they offer me the job. Is this necessary? I thought they should pay according to their range of salary bar.
