first don't envy other folks -- but do try to achieve what they have done. there is a lot of starter homes on the market Right now that are really good buys. some of these homes can be had for a little more than the rent you are now paying. look in the paper houses for sale and get a ideal of just what the market is like in your area. than call a Realtor and tell him what you goal is like and how much you can afford to pay and maybe your little dream home is just around the corner.. good luck

Hi,
People who have made a lot of money have made an effort to educate themselves about the way that money works. They build a strong financial foundation, make sure they are financially stable and then start investing.
I would start with books like The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker and Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. You can find these at your local library or bookstore.
If you truly want to have money, realize that it will take effort and action on your part. But if you want to have nice things, you can. It is up to you.
Best of luck to you,
Barbara

Most people work very hard to afford a nice home and nice things. A good education is usually key in finding a great career that pays well.

Well this is how you do it, go see a real estate agent tell them your situation, they know all the programs and finance opportunities. You may not get a mansion but your home is what you make of it, the price is about the same as rent, unless you are looking at homes you don't make enough MONEY to afford, that would just depress you. Seek and you shall find.

Folks with money got it in one of three ways. They earned it via high income careers, they earned it via sound investment practice, or they inherited it. (Or a combination of all of the above).
Those who have the money get to buy what they want with it. Those who do not have it obviously have to budget what they DO have.
Do not be malcontent with your station in life, if you are healthy and can keep a roof over your head and pay your bills.
Whatever you do, do NOT get into debt more than you can handle, just so you can 'have a nice house'. You will be forever sorry for making such a move, and may well not be able to keep the house in the shape you want.

Most people who have nice things work really hard to get them. Yes some inherit it, but most do it the hard way. If you want nicer things you are going to have to work harder. try getting a second job, or go to college at nights to get a degree. In turn you will get a better paying job. Sorry to hear of your frustrations, but its no reason to be mad at others who have succeeded.

They go to college, and work their butts off.
