Can I get a cashier's check or money order that doesn't show my name on it? I don't mind if the bank knows my name, I just don't want the recipient to see it.

Sure you can...

Its dangerous to do so, but yes, you can buy a cashiers check or official bank check without having your name put on it....

If you dont put your name or a payee name on it, ANYONE can cash it...

Postal money orders are by far the most secure, flexible and anonymous ways to pay. They can be cashed at either a bank or the post office. Post office is better since there is no waiting period to cash them. Most banks have stinky rules, even about postal money orders and will hold them. Postal money orders have some great anti-counterfeit features and the most important feature of all; it's the next best thing to cash. It's on the only money order backed directly by Uncle Sam. Plus if it’s ever lost, you can file a claim. They’re very inexpensive and you fill out the recipient’s information yourself. Hope this helps.

I have never heard of a legit company not wanting their name on a money order so yeah...I would pass and look elsewhere if I were you! You even have a viable example of what could happen should a money with no name on it get lost in the mail, so go with your gut and pass!

Yes. Many grocery stores sell money orders with about a 75 cent fee. I know for sure QuikTrip does as well. They ask for no I.D. so your name is not on it.

No - would you want a check (cashier's or otherwise) to show up in your posession with no way to account for where it came from? Homeland Security would probably have you shot.
