Help! My sister claims I have stolen & forged her state income tax check! She gave the check to me for repayment for a large debt she owed me but now claimes she never gave me the check but that I kept it! My bank has pulled the funds from my account & that has caused me nothing but problems on that end. We live in seperate states. What do I do? Will I go to jail?

No, she didn't endorse it. She had moved by then but she had it sent to my address & her tax guy at H & R Block told her to just have me sign it both our names & write "for deposit only" on it and deposit it into my acctount! I had been six months since all this happened & I have all of her tax paperwork and proff of the debt she owes me. She is in trouble now back home & that is why she did this.

What a sibling lol... You know you guys should be on people's court or judge judy or something. Even Oprah. Have to love the fam. And by the way a Jury I'm sure will determine and the courts will determine if you are in trouble so we wish you luck. We wish you well. Can't do much to help.

Did your sister endorse the check before she gave it to you? If not, how did you deposit it in your bank account? Banks are kinda funny about tax checks.
Got any proof or witnesses? You're gonna need 'em.

Better get you an attorney. It will be her word against yours. It will be up to the judge.
