Would nursing homes include my husbands social security and pensions even if our assets are below self pay?

I know we would be eligiable for medicaid but I woud still need his benifits in order to keep my house and pay my bills.

The social security and pensions that are in HIS name would probably go to the nursing home if medicaid is covering it.

When my grandma was in a nursing home, the nursing home got her social security check, her house, the money in her checking. Her husband had already died, so I don't know if a spouse is entitled to those things or not.
