Which companies actually offer that? What about Credit Consolidation? What do you guys advice me to do? What about the NFCC? Thanks!

I recently received a letter from a collection firm. stating that i owe money for phone services that were established on my name in Florida and the reference address they have on file , the address that i never lived at. But they dio have my SS#. I honestly think that it was a fraud, maybe my ex did it. I dont know, i did put alert on my credit just in case. And checked my credit report to see if there is anything unussual going on. And everything is fine. So now i told them that it looks like a fraud, and I also said taht what they have is not valid because iots over 7 years old. So they said that it cant go on on my credit report and but they can still collect the money??????? Can they? My question is if i send back a fraud paper work, will it be considered as new open dept?

Trying to find out if insurance carrier can deny dental services for a child in an outpatient hospital setting simply based on anxiety or fear. Does the child have to have a mental disorder/physical handicap etc? Is there an age limit? Does it have to be for oral surgery only or would simple cleanings or fillings be enough?

I heard temp jobs pay better than permanent ones because they don't give you benefits. Recently I got interviewed by a staffing company RANDSTAD and they asked my salary expectation. I asked them back what would be the range they offer? They gave me a number which is the same as a permanent position will offer me.

If I move on in the hiring process and got the offer, how much is there to negotiate? I don't know what is the normal percentage a temp agency offers you compare with what they will get from their client. Will they be willing to give me more? Can't believe I will have no benefits but get the same money as a permanent worker...

The other thing is I heard after your assignment, if you want to get a permanent position within the client company, it is not possible for you to move without your agency? So what would exactly happen there? I've heard things like the company can hire you only after 6months. So how is my relationship with the agency after my temp assignment?

Lets say I buy items for £25 using credit card and take £50 as cashback on same card from any store which provide cash back facility, do they consider as a single transaction of £75 or two transaction 1. Shopping for £25 , 2. Cash withdrawl of £50. If they consider a single transaction, its intrest free untill my due date otherwise £50 would be considered as cash taken from ATM. I do not know answer yet and thats why its here.

This is a whole new language for us and its been a long ride the last couple years-hopefully we are almost to the end but didn't know how it works....THANX!

My husband and I are considering buying a home for the first time and I've heard about the tax break we'd get, but I'm not sure if there's a way to predict what refund we would get. It would greatly help in making our decision to buy or continue renting.

If we're in the 25% tax bracket (combined income is $93,000) and pay 6.5% interest on a $160,000 mortgage loan, approximately how much should we get back?

I have a quant background in hedging, so I'm not asking for guidance on how to learn modeling or developing strategies for trading options. I have work experience doing option valuation and developing dynamic replication strategies, but I have never done the trading.

I want to start relatively small - I'm comfortable putting about $20K at risk. I would be looking to hedge options against options while trying to limit the amount of dynamic hedging. I expect that I'll need set up some margin in addition to any net option premium. Is $20K reasonable?

Are there brokers specializing in options? Does anyone recommend CME, CBOE or other tools? (I know that some exchanges offer tools for subscription.)

Thanks!

Tax Shelter a Short Term Mutual Fund account?
I am 72 years old and I want to put down $10,000 to start a Short-Term(2-5 year) account, with divided reinvested to buy more shares. I hear that even though the dividends are reinvested, dividends reinvestment are considered taxable income for that year and I will have to pay at the end of the year. Is this information correct?

If so, how else would a be able to direct the dividends so that I be tax sheltered from govn't hands. Would I be able to direct earnings into an IRA, but only $4000 is allowable for IRA, is there other ways to not get taxed on my Mutual Fund divideds and earnings? Annuity? Life Policy? LTC?
