I was just offered a job and signed an acceptance letter. The Job does not start for another two weeks. I was also just contacted about a job that I have a very strong interest in. I have a phone interview with them tomorrow. Should I tell the interviewer that I have verbally accepted another job. What etiquette should be used in this manner for both parties?

I work for a company in which I try to keep people from leaving the membership. Many of my callers are unhappy because they didn't remember signing up. My boss thinks that I am not pushy enough, and I do not keep many from leaving. I am trying to keep my job, however I really do not know how to keep people from cancelling this. What would you do? What could someone say to keep you from cancelling? Is your mind already made up? I am not in the bussiness to lie, cheat or steal from anyone and know that this prodoct and company are legit.

I had a home inspection done, but it wasn't detected then because it was covered by carpeting. Do I have any rights to go back to the seller and ask for compensation to fix it, since it wasn't disclosed to me?

Okay, so I got the application to the following stores:

EB Games (video game store)
American Eagle (clothing)
Gamestop (video game store)
Pac Sun (clothing)
Barnes and Noble (book store)

Basically I'm just applying for positions such as cashier, customer service person, you know those store positions.

So when I go to turn in my application, who should I give it to? The store manager, or the person that gave me the application?

Also how should I dress while giving the application, decent, casual, etc?

Thanks!

My mother passed away about a year and a half ago, after that my dad went crazy. He has been openining credit cards in my name (3), and has been taking money from my checking account(I have taken it all out)and now I cant even get financial aid or a mortgage because of it. I am torn because he is my only parent left(I am an only child) and dont want to take him to court, but I cant afford to pay for the thousands of dollars he has racked up on my credit. I dont know what to do and have no one to talk to. Please, anyone who has been through this or is financially savvy PLEASE help!!

Thanks

I am thinking about changing careers. I have a BS in Marketing, but I may like to be a lawyer. NOT one of the sleezy bag type of lawyers either!

But I have read conflicting info on the subject of whether or not there is a need for lawyers and I heard enrollment is down in law schools.

Any Idea.

I run a company that generates quite a bit of correspondence (not junk mail). The letters are printed to a central printer. I then have a clerk enter the addresses into a spreadsheet to mail merge to labels. The clerk then folds the letters, stuffs the envelope, then puts the label on the envelope. Is there a better way?

My Uncle wants to give me 2- lots of land in AZ. He wants to sell the property to me but not require me to pay anything. From what I read, he could do a quit claim deed to transfer the property to me. Is there any reason he wouldn't want to do a quit claim deed? What are the tax implications for him and me?
