I work for a company in which I try to keep people from leaving the membership. Many of my callers are unhappy because they didn't remember signing up. My boss thinks that I am not pushy enough, and I do not keep many from leaving. I am trying to keep my job, however I really do not know how to keep people from cancelling this. What would you do? What could someone say to keep you from cancelling? Is your mind already made up? I am not in the bussiness to lie, cheat or steal from anyone and know that this prodoct and company are legit.

With increasing identity theft I believe having this is very helpful. It doesn't cost much when you think of the benefits (knowing immediatly if you have been a victim of identity theft) and being able to do something right away! Just watch the news and find out of all the victims; this can save you headaches and stress.

It appears it makes you unconfortable to keep people from leaving. If you do not believe in what you are selling you will never succeed. Why would anyone want to pay for a credit monitoring service. You would be better off signing up for an Identity Theft prevention service. ID Theft prevention services monitors your credit, protects you from fraud and guarantee to pay you for expenses incurred (up to $1,000,000 USD) should your information get compromised. Take a look at http://www.your-credit-solution.com/lifelock.htm for a comparison.

I suggest you update your resume and look for a new job.

People are upset when they call you to cancel because many have been tricked into signing up. And there are many cases where folks didn't sign up.

In my opinion, credit monitoring services are a complete waste of money. It tends to be the people who can least afford it who get roped into these services. They hope to increase the credit score or something.

Look, The ads for your service are deceiving, People are signing up for free access to their credit report, Because of the misleading ads, they think the intial (Free) report and the ongoing monitoring (Not Free) are all the free thing,
So of course they want to cancel the paid part.

NO-ONE needs ongoing credit monitoring.

And your boss telling you to get tough is what makes these things more of a scam.

You couldn't...I think they are a TOTAL waste of money.

I don't think credit has to be monitored every month, every quarter maybe, but not every month.

You can just about pull your own credit from the bureau's directly cheaper than what one of those services cost.
