I live in Texas, worked for almost 6 months there, and I had about 6 sick days, will they give me that money (the sick days money)? TANKS.

It all has to do with how long you worked at your previous job (the one you just got fired from). And what state you live in. Just look up "unemployment office" in your blue pages in the phone book and they will be able to tell you if you are eligible or not.

Usually you have to be at a job for over a year.

It depends on the situation. Did you get suspended then terminated from something you did or was it company downsizing? If they let you go and you were still in good standing with them then you will be approved for unemployment benefits. These benefits don't have anything to do with your taxes, This is money owed to you from working and if you are receiving benefits from them before tax time comes around you must FILE THEM WITH THE I.R.S. and they will send you a tax statement.

More information is needed here. But, if you've only worked a total of six months in a state, most likely you won't qualify for unemployment. Use the advice above and go check it out.

Suggest you go to your local State Office.

File a claim and find out.

Depends how long your were with the company to qualify.
